Ryan McHugh has been nominated for Player of the Week
Three Donegal players have earned spots in the GAA.ie team of the week for their standout performances in their 0-18 to 0-16 victory against Tyrone on Sunday.
Niall O’Donnell and Jason McGee have secured places in the team, with Ryan McHugh being named for the second week in-a-row on the team while also being in contention for Player of the Week.
Representing the St Eunan’s club, O’Donnell contributed significantly to his team's success with his astute playmaking and tactical awareness, crucial in maintaining Donegal's competitiveness throughout the match.
The 25-year-old also contributed two points, one in each half of regular time, aiding Donegal's triumph in extra time.
Meanwhile, McGee delivered an exceptional performance in midfield, displaying dominance in the aerial duels and contributing two points back-to-back early in the second half as Donegal sought to stage a comeback.
Kilcar's McHugh showcased his prowess once again in the championship, proving to be a pivotal asset for Donegal and executing several crucial turnovers in Celtic Park.
