David Gough has been appointed as the referee for this weekend's Ulster Championship clash between Jim McGuinness's Donegal and Mickey Harte's Derry.

A seasoned official hailing from Meath, Gough will oversee the highly anticipated Ulster quarter-final match at Celtic Park on Saturday, with the game set to commence at 6.15pm.

Gough boasts a wealth of experience, having officiated in two All-Ireland finals, both featuring Dublin and Kerry, in 2019 and 2023, respectively. Additionally, he presided over Donegal's triumph in the 2018 Ulster final against Fermanagh, while also refereeing two of the last three Ulster finals last year and in 2021.

In this quarter-final encounter, McGuinness's team will endeavour to spring a surprise as they face the reigning Ulster and National League champions. The victors of this match will progress to the semi-finals, where they will meet the winners of the clash between Tyrone and Cavan.
