St Eunan’s tapped into a reservoir of score-taking to overcome Seán MacCumhaills in Ballybofey in Division 1 following a deadlock at halftime.

The visitors were off the mark early on and were three points to no score up from points by Conor O’Donnell, Anthony Gallagher and Oran Winston before Kevin McCormack pointed for the home team after six minutes.

Joel Bradley Walsh converted a free shortly after when Jamie Keegan was fouled. Eoin Dowling and Kevin McCormack traded frees and MacCumhaill’s had defenders Cian Mulligan and Aaron Gillooley contribute to the scoring with two fine points after an Eoin McGeehin free. The sides entered half-time well-matched at five points a piece.

St. Eunan's emerged from halftime with determination, quickly establishing a five-point lead within as many minutes. Winston and O’Donnell contributed points, sandwiching a goal from Kevin Kealy. Although Cian Mulligan replied for the hosts, a rapid succession of scores from Pauric Boyle, Noah Barrett, and Eoin McGeehan extended the lead to seven points amidst worsening weather conditions.

O’Donnell and Eoin Dowling converted their placed balls successfully, followed by Bradley Walsh scoring his own free from the ground. Kealy then sealed the scoring for the visiting team. In the end, it was the men from Letterkenny who secured the two match points on the road.
