Jim McGuinness names starting 15 for Donegal's match against Meath tonight

McMenamin returns for Red Hugh's in Buncrana scalp

Donegal's Stephen McMenamin returns to the starting 15 tonight

Jim McGuinness hopes to finish his Divison 2 league campaign on a high as he names his starting q5 to take on Colm O’Rourke’s Meath side tonight in MacCumhaill Park, throw-in at 7pm.

With Donegal and Armagh already set to face each other next weekend in the Division 2 final in Croke Park, and with Meath already guaranteed safety in the second division for another season, along with a place in the All-Ireland series this summer already secured, there’s nothing but pride on the line tonight as Donegal hope to keep their solid record in Ballybofey intact.

Following their seven-point win last weekend against Kildare there was speculation that McGuinness might opt for a second-string team to face the Royals tonight, but the Glenties manager decided to keep their momentum high, selecting a vast amount regular starters for tonight’s encounter.

Aaron Doherty and Ciaran Moore, both who started last week against Kildare will be replaced in the starting line-up by Jeaic Mac Ceallabhuí and the returning Stephen McManamin, who was named on the bench against Kildare but did not feature.

McMenamin has not featured for Donegal since their win over Louth in Ballyshannon at the start of the month when he made a brief appearance off the bench, with his last start for the green and gold coming against Armagh over a month ago and now with Donegal's championship clash against Derry only a month away, the defender will be looking to make a big impact tonight in the hope of nailing down a starting position.
