Gary McDaid has returned for another stint as the Glenswilly manager.
McDaid was ratified as Pauric Bonner’s successor at a club meeting on Saturday.
Bonner stepped down in the wake of the 2023 season, when Glenswilly won Division 2 of the All-County Football League and reached the quarter-finals of the Donegal SFC.
Glenswilly bowed out at the last eight stage in each of the last two years, beaten by Naomh Conaill in 2022 and Sean MacCumhaills in 2023.
Bonner had taken on the role in late 2020, but now McDaid has come back for another spell in the hot seat.
McDaid was manager in 2011 and 2013 when Glenswilly won their first two Donegal SFC titles and he was on the backroom team of Michael Canning when Dr Maguire made a third visit to Pairc Naomh Columba in 2016.
McDaid was on Rory Gallagher’s backroom team with the Donegal senior footballers and managed the Donegal Under-20s in 2018 and 2019.
