St Eunan’s claimed their fourth win from four in Division 1 of the All-County Football League when they edged past Aodh Ruadh at O’Donnell Park on Saturday.

The match was held up for over 30 minutes due to an upper body injury picked up by Aodh Ruadh forward Nathan Boyle, who had kicked two scores.
The Ballyshannon side were buoyed by their recent home victory over Gaoth Dobhair and made Rory Kavanagh’s troops work to grind out another win. Some of the sting was taken out of the match by the 40-minute delay for Boyle, with it dusking by the finish.
The Letterkenny team had beaten MacCumhaill’s, Killybegs and Glenfin in their opening three fixtures of 2023. St Eunan’s were 0-9 to 0-4 in front at half-time, with Padraig McGettigan, David Boyle and Eoin McGeehin doing the damage over the hour, while Darragh Mulgrew, who was blood-subbed for a short spell, chipped in with a point.
John McNulty’s visitors were never too far away but chasing with three Philip Patton frees being added to by Eoghan Kelly, Shane McGrath, Cian Rooney, David Dolan and Diarmáid McInerney’s free.
