Donegal gardaí issue warning following fines for non-conforming registration plates

Non-conforming Irish registration plates include those that have custom or non-standard fonts, incorrect sizes, colours or spacing, no EU flag or IRL identifier and those that are designed to defeat ANPR systems
Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit issued Fixed Charge Penalty Notices to a number of drivers yesterday in relation to non-conforming registration plates.
Non-conforming Irish registration plates include those that have custom or non-standard fonts, incorrect sizes, colours or spacing, no EU flag or IRL identifier and those that are designed to defeat ANPR systems.
"Drivers are reminded that each non-regulation, missing, or obscured plate can result in a €60 Fixed Charge Notice per plate," An Garda Siochana warned. "All registration plates must meet Irish format and visibility standards."
