Death notices for Donegal

The following deaths have taken place:

Margaret Moloney, Dunkineely and Dublin

The death has taken place of Margaret Moloney, née McCready, Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin and formerly of St Johns Point, Dunkineely, County Donegal. She passed away peacefully in the care of St Michael’s Hospital Dun Laoghaire.

Dearly beloved wife of the late Michael and forever loved by her adored and heartbroken daughters Patricia and Catherine. Predeceased by her parents Mary Catherine (Minnie) and Francis (Francie) her sister Mary and brother Frank, Margaret will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her brother Jim, sister-in-law Ann-Margaret, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, 5 Newtown Park, Blackrock, County Dublin A94 X308 on Friday from 5pm to 7pm, and at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles, County Donegal, F94 X02N on Sunday  from 5pm to 7pm. House strictly private.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 12pm at the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless, County Donegal, F94 CH02, followed by burial at the adjoining Cemetery.

Noelle Craig, Donegal Town

The peaceful death has occurred of Noelle Craig, née Crawford, St Joseph's Avenue, Donegal Town. She passed away surrounded by her loving and devoted family, in the exceptional and outstanding care of Áras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home, Mullinasole.

Predeceased by her adored husband Joseph, her parents David and Mary, and siblings Anna, Marie, Gerry, Tessie and Christor, and extended family members of the Crawford and Craig families. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her two daughters Joanne and Lisa, sons-in-law Andrew and Johnny, and grandchildren Odhrán, Conor, Fionn and Anna, her brothers and sisters Martin, Rita, Goretti, David and Paul, brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Crawford and Craig families, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.

Her remains are reposing at Tir Conaill Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94 FX4A, on Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 9pm each day.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town with interment afterwards in Clar Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on the church webcam

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Áras Mhic Shuibhne Patient Comfort Fund, in memory of Noelle, care of any family member or John McGowan Funeral Directors.

Anna Ní Bhaoill, Falcarragh and Gweedore

Fuair Anna Ní Bhaoill, nó Anne Boyle as Min a Chladaigh ach a raibh cónaí uirthi ar an Fhál carrach le blianta, bás ar maidin Dé Mairt in Otharlann Ollscoile Leitir Ceanainn.

Maireann beirt deartháireacha di, Dónall agus Máire, Hughie agus Sally, chomh maith le nia Eoin, Neachtanna Caitríona, Fionnuala agus Róisín agus a gclann siúd, gaolta eile agus cairde.

Beidh sí á faire i dTeach Tórramh Ghort an Choirce F92 FT7C ó 2 a'chlog go dti 8 a' chlog Dé Céadaoin agus Paidrin ar a 8 a' chlog. Aistreofar a corp chun an bhaile go dtina teach féin ar an Fhál carrach ina dhiaidh sin, ach beidh an teach probháideach.

Cuirfear Anna sa reilig áitiúla i ndiaidh Aifreann an Tórraimh ag a 11 a'chlog i dTeach Pobail Cholmcille i gcnoc Fola F92 D586 Déardaoin. 

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital Letterkenny of Anne Boyle of Falcarragh and formerly of Meenacladdy, Gweedore.

She is survived by her two brothers Dónall and Máire, Hughie and Sally, nephew Eoin, nieces Caitríona, Fionnuala and Roísín and their families and a circle of family and friends.

Anne's wake will be in Gortahork Funeral Premises, F92 FT7C on Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm with removal to her residence in Falcarragh where house will be private.

Anne's funeral mass will take place on Thursday at 11am in St Colmcille Church, Knockfola F92 D586 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on the church webcam 

Rosaleen Black, Rathmullan

The death has take place peacefully at her home, of Rosaleen Black, née Diver, Coastguard Station House, Rathmullan, County Donegal, F92 Y7R9.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Joseph, daughters Eileen, Tara O’Donnell (Aidan) and Sonya Keeney (Barry), son Liam (Emma), sister Kathleen Walsh (Ballintra), grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, she is predeceased by her brothers John and Liam.

Her remains are reposing at her home today, Tuesday from 5pm until 10pm and Wednesday from 11am until 10pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Requiem Mass on Thursday at 1pm in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan, with interment afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery. 

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to St Vincent de Paul Centre Rathmullan or Donegal Hospice, c/o any family member.

Seamus Campbell, Kilcar

The peaceful death has occurred of Seamus Campbell, Main Street, Kilcar, Donegal, F94V2D1. He passed away at Killybegs Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John and Anna and his sister Noella Lynch; sadly missed by his loving wife Breige and his heartbroken children, Cornelius (Roseann), Shaun (Aisling), Charles, Aoife (Paddy), Fergal (Kate) and Irene (Colm). Much loved Papa to his grandchildren, Chloe, Leah, Bronagh, Finn, Emma, George and Michael. Fondly remembered by his sisters Mary (Michael O Byrne, Kilcar) Margaret (John Quinn, Ardara) and Annmarie (Dinny Maguire RIP), his sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. Seamus will be dearly missed by his neighbours and large circle of friends.

Wake at the family home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am with Rosary both nights at 9pm. House strictly private on the morning of the Funeral please.

Funeral Mass on Thursday in St Cartha’s Church, Kilcar at 12 noon followed by burial in the local cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Donegal Hospice, care of any family member.

Gordon Hunt, Donegal Town and England

The death has occurred of Gordon Hunt, Dorset, England, father of Dr Beverly Huss, Donegal Town. He passed away peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his son Andrew Hunt, Gordon is deeply regretted by his loving daughter, son-in-law Archdeacon David Huss, and grandsons Jonathan, Benjamin and Samuel.

House private please.

Funeral Service in Donegal Parish Church at 11am Thursday followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4pm.

Catherine Ormston, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, of Catherine Ormston, née McLaughlin, Hawthorn Hill, Newtowncunningham, Donegal

Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Anna, Catherine will be sorely missed by her husband Marcus, daughter, Kanrawi, sisters Suzanna (Tony) and Sarah (Rahul), brothers Dominic (Anne), Gregory (Majella), Malachy, John (Terry), Philip and David (Stephen). She is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews extended family members, neighbours and many friends.

Catherine's remains are reposing in her family home Main Street Newtowncunningham, F93 X6H0, with wake continuing on Tuesday from 11am to 10pm.

Funeral from there on Wednesday morning for Requiem Mass in All Saint’s Church, Newtowncunningham, at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations to North West Cancer Centre, Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry, care of any family member or Charlie McClafferty, Funeral Director.
