Death notices and funeral arrangements for Donegal on Saturday evening, November 15

The following deaths have taken place:

Ann Coyle, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place on Monday, November 17 at Ramelton Community Hospital of Ann Coyle, 15 Wolfe Tone Place, Letterkenny F92 YYT0.

Deeply missed by her loving brothers Hugh (Linda) Trimragh, Tony (Marie) Dromore and Paddy (Liz) Leitir, Kilmacrennan, nieces and nephews Evan, Chloe, Shannian, Darren, Jordan and Rachel and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Ann is predeceased by her parents Tony and Molly and 4-year-old brother John.

Ann’s remains are reposing at her late residence on Tuesday 18th November from 12 noon until 10pm with Rosary at 9pm.
Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Wednesday 19th November at 12.30pm going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 1pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Ramelton Community Hospital Comfort Fund c/o any family member.

Lynda Cowley, Moville

The death has occurred of Lynda Cowley (née Gregory) late of Moville, Co Donegal and formerly of Drogheda, Co. Louth.

She passed away peacefully in Donegal aged 66 years. Lynda is predeceased by her parents Michael and Sheila and brother John.

Lynda will always be remembered by her daughters, grandchildren, good friend Marion, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92XN75) from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday.

Funeral Mass on Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church which can be viewed on www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie

Burial details will be added at a later time.

When parking around the funeral home please have consideration for residents in nearby houses.

Agnes McGill, Ardara

The death has taken place of Agnes Mc Gill (nee Gallagher), Aighe, Ardara. She passed away peacefully at Donegal Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her son Joseph, her sisters Annie, Mary, Kathleen, Peggy, her brothers Paddy and Phil.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Jimmy, her sons Seamus and Hugh, her daughter-in-law Linda and her beloved grandchildren Joseph and James, her sisters Brid, Teresa and Philomena, her brother Hugh, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McCabe Funeral Home, Ardara, F94VCK1 on Monday, November 17 from 4 to 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday in the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House strictly private, family only please. Family flowers only. Mass will be streamed on MCN Media.

Oisín MacManus, Dunlewy

The death has occurred of Oisín Mac Manus of Poisoned Glen, Dunlewy at Áras Ghaoth Dobhair.

His remains will repose at Letterkenny Funeral Home from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday, November 18.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am at St Eunan’s Cathedral with burial afterwards in New Leck cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Áras Ghaoth Dobhair or the Huntington’s Disease Association of Ireland, care of any family member.

House private.

Junie (Margaret) McGonagle, Carndonagh

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Junie (Margaret) McGonagle, Carrowreagh, Carndonagh.

Dear sister of Eamon and Philip, predeceased by her siblings Hughie, Jimmy, Danny, Freda, Jackie and Louie.

Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Junie’s remains will leave Kelly’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh at 5pm on Monday, November 17 going to her late residence, where all are welcome to pay their respects. Family time please from 10:00pm to 10:00am.

Removal from there on Wednesday at 10:30am to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carndonagh for 11:00am requiem Mass followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. 

Requiem Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Letterkenny University Hospital patients comfort fund C/O any family member or Blaine McCarron, Kelly’s Funeral Directors.

Billy Nohilly, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Billy Nohilly, 9 White Maple, Bundoran, and Lucan, Dublin.

He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at The North West Hospice, Sligo.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Jean, brothers, Jimmy, Tom and Michael, sister, Elizabeth.

Beloved husband of Patricia and loving father of Gerard and Ray.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter-in-law, Julie, grandchildren, Emmet and Aoife, brothers, Bobby and George, sisters, May, Jean and Helen, sisters-in-law, Ronnie, Olive, Mary, Geraldine & Rose-Marie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

House private to family and friends.

Reposing at McGowan's Crematorium, Collooney, Co. Sligo (F91AKW5) on Monday evening from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in St. Anne’s Church, Sligo (F91 R250), with funeral proceeding to McGowan’s Crematorium, Collooney (F91 AKW5) for committal prayers.

Sal Colgan, Ballybofey

The peaceful death has occurred, in Coventry, England on 23rd October of Sal Colgan (née McCool), formerly of Kinaderry, Welchtown, Ballybofey.

Predeceased by her husband Danny Colgan and parents Tom and Margaret McCool.

Sal will be deeply missed by her loving sons Danny (Jackie) and Paul, her brothers Dan, TJ & Gerard, her sisters Margaret McNulty, Anna Timoney, Patricia Neely, Noelle McGroarty & Kate Cullen, nieces & nephews and her dear friend Nadia.

Funeral will take place on Wednesday, November 19 at 11.15am in All Souls Church Kingsland Ave, Coventry.

Burial at Lentons Lane Cemetery in the family plot.

Rita Colhoun, Malin

The peaceful death has taken place at her home, surrounded by all her loving family, of Rita Colhoun (née McLaughlin) (White Paddy), Killian, Malin, F93 NX95.

Predeceased by her husband Morell, daughter-in-law Sarah Jo, grandchildren Louise and Richard and her siblings, Celia, Paddy, Mary B, Kateann, Willie, Jim, Charlie, Margaret Teresa, Sean and Susie.

Much loved mother of Robert, Marielle (Richard), Terence (Barny), Joanne (James) and cherished granny of Lucy, Robbie, Ellie-Jane, Connie, Shania, Shay Patrick, Aoife, James and Grace.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home with a one-way system in operation, entering via Back Mountain Road and exit via Lagg Road.

Funeral from there on Tuesday at 12.15pm for 1pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay followed by interment in St Mary’s Church Lagg Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Daniel Duffy, Milford

The sudden death has taken place of Daniel Duffy, Lough Road, Milford.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Lena and dear father of Mark and Mary. Deeply regretted by his son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass in St Peter’s Church, Milford at 11.00am on Wednesday, November 19  followed by interment in Milford Cemetery.

No wake and the house is private at the request of Daniel.
