Croíbhriste ina dhiaidh tá a chéile Lori, a chlann Michael (Brandi) agus Moya (Leo) agus a gharchlann,Wyatt agus Olive. Leasmhac ionúin do Bhrendan Kearney, deartháir ionúin Mháire, Chonaill, Lillis, Chlíona agus Mhéabh, agus an duine ab óige den teaghlach, tá siad uilig á chronú go mór. Ar shiúl roimhe ar Shlí na Fírinne tá a athair Lillis agus a mháthair Bernie; athair agus máthair Lori, Arnie agus Sue; agus a dheirfiúr chéile ionúin Mary O’Leary. Fear mór cuideachta a bhí i bPól agus tá scaifte mór gaolta eile agus cairde go buartha ina dhiaidh fosta. 

Ceiliúrfaidh an tAthair Donnchadh Ó Baoill, SP Ghort A’Choirce, íobairt naofa an Aifrinn i gcuimhne ar Phól ar an tSatharn 8 Samhain 2025, i dTeach Pobail Chríost Rí ag 1.00p.m. Tá an teaghlach buíoch d’achan duine a rinne comhbhrón leo faoi bhás Phóil roimhe seo.

Paul O’Leary, from Gortahork, Co. Donegal, died on September 3 at his home in New Jersey, USA.

Heartbroken are his wife, Lori, his children Michael (Brandi), and Moya (Leo), and his grandchildren, Wyatt and Olive. Beloved stepson of Brendan Kearney, much loved brother of Máire, Conal, Lillis, Clíona and Méabh, he was the youngest of his siblings, all of whom miss him greatly. Gone before him on the Way of Truth are his parents Lillis and Bernie; his wife Lori’s parents, Arnie and Sue; and his beloved sister-in-law, Mary O’Leary. Gregarious and fun-loving, Paul is also mourned by a wide circle of extended family and friends.

Fr Donnchadh Ó Baoill, PP Gortahork, will celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Paul’s memory on Saturday, November 8 in the Church of Christ the King at 1pm. Mass will be live streamed on the parish webcam

Martin McGuinness, Dublin and Ballyshannon

The death has taken place of Martin McGuinness, Terenure, Dublin and formerly of Ballyshannon. He passed away suddenly in the care of the wonderful staff of Crampton Ward and ICU, Tallaght University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband and best friend of Caroline, loving and much-loved dad of Aideen and Gavin. Martin will be forever loved and dearly missed by his Wife, his son and daughter and their partners, brothers Eunan, Thomas, Denis and Gerard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends especially Kevin, Liam, Phonsie and Brendan.

His remains are reposing at his home on Sunday from 4pm to 6pm.

Removal on Monday morning to St Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon arriving for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial thereafter in Kilmashogue Cemetery.

Margaret Harley, Donegal Town and Frosses

The death has taken place of Margaret Harley, Rossylongan, Donegal Town and formerly of Drimard, Frosses. She passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Mary Teresa and Eddie, nieces Martina and Kym, and granddaughter Chloe, she will be forever loved and sadly missed by her partner David, his son Daithi, daughter in law Sinead, granddaughters Eadaoin and Amy, her brothers Tom, PJ, Eunan, Joseph and Martin, sisters Kathy, Ann and Mary, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Margaret’s remains will repose at Tir Connell Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94FX3A on Saturday from 1pm to 8pm followed by private removal to her late residence in Rossylongan, Donegal Town.

Removal on Sunday morning to St Mary’s Church, Killymard, Donegal Town, F94EA22 for requiem Mass at 11am with internment afterwards in the local cemetery.

Family Flowers only please, donations in Lieu to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital care of any family member or John McGowan Funeral Directors.

Audrey Gilchrist, Donegal Town

The death has occurred peacefully in Sligo University Hospitalof Audrey Gilchrist, née Baskin, Tullymornin, Donegal Town, F94 YC04.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Sam, children Linda (George), Wendy (Gary), Samuel (Siobhan), Andrew (Frances), grandchildren Gareth, Emily, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Emma, Amy, Sam, Freddie, Josh and sisters Kathleen and Olive.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence on Friday from 4pm to 9pm, and Saturday from 4pm to 8pm. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral Service in Donegal Presbyterian Church at 2pm Sunday followed by burial in the Glebe Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu if so desired to the Irish Cancer Society, care of George Irwin Funeral Directors or any family member.

Michael Quigley, Donegal Town

Michael (Michael Angelo) Quigley, originally of Glasgow, has passed peacefully at his home in Ardatole, Townawilly.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Michael, Janie and Tim and their partners, his grandchildren, Juliette, Hugo, Samuel and Hugh, sister-in-laws Margaret and Sue and his many close friends, neighbours and former customers. Michael is predeceased by his wife, Sarah, his brothers Toni and Giovanni and his parents, Tommy and Natalia.

House strictly private at all times please. Michael’s remains will repose at Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94 FX3A from 2pm to 7pm on Saturday followed by removal to St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town to reside overnight.

Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town at 11.30am on Sunday.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Donegal Hospital Patient comfort fund.

Martin Britton, Sligo and Donegal Town

The death has taken place of Martin Britton, Glenmullen Court, Church Street, Sligo Town, Sligo and formerly of Donegal Town. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at St John’s Community Hospital, Sligo.

Predeceased by his parents Matt and Nancy; beloved father of Luke (USA); he will be sadly missed by his son, brothers Jack (Donegal Town), Matt (Donegal Town), Gary (Dublin) and Raymond (UK), sister Ann Marie Byrne (Sligo), daughter-in-law Jess, Luke’s mother Patricia, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Her remains are reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Friday from 6pm with removal at 7.30pm to arrive at St Anne’s Church, Sligo for 8pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday at 11am with funeral then proceeding to McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home, Collooney, County Sligo (F91 AKW5) for a cremation service.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society, care of The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo.

Eamonn Feeley, Donegal Town

The death has taken place of Eamonn Feeley, Tully, Old Laghey Road, Donegal Town. 

Forever loved and sadly missed by his children Leigha and Jamie, his parents Ann and John, his sister Erin, his brother Dennis, brother-in-law Declan, his uncle Cornelius, his aunt Carmel (John), his nieces and nephew Amy, Mike and Ava, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposal continues at the family home in Donegal Town (F94 A3C6) on Friday from 1pm to 10pm. All welcome. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Removal from the family home on Saturday morning at 9.30am to arrive at St Agatha's Church, Clar, Donegal Town for Mass of the Resurrection at 10am with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam 

Dickie Curran, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place under the loving care of The Donegal Hospice of Dickie Curran, Bomany, Letterkenny.

Always remembered by his loving wife Kathleen, daughter Louise, son Noel, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Natasha, grandson Evan and brother Liam, he is predeceased by his parents Francie and Maggie, his six brothers and three sisters.

Reposal continues at his late residence on Friday with Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12noon in St. Eunan's Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam

Brian O'Doherty, Bundoran

The death has taken place of Brian O’Doherty, West End, Bundoran. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Sligo University Hospital.

Forever loved and sadly missed by his children Damien, Patrick, Charlie, Gemma, Sarah, Rebecca, Samantha, Christina and Chloe, their mother Frances, his brothers Patrick and Pearse, sisters Florence, Lena and Christina and all his many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. He is predeceased by his parents John and Ellen O’Doherty and his sister Pauline.

Removal from Breslin's Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10.30am via Brighton Terrace and Promenade Road) to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards to St Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran for a burial service. Mass can be viewed live on the webcam at www.magheneparish.ie

Micheal Walls (Junior), Rossnowlagh

The death has taken place of Michael Walls (Junior), Rossnowlagh.

Reposal continues at the family home from 2pm until 10pm on Thursday.

Michael was a beloved son, brother, partner, uncle and friend whose humor and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He was predeceased by his dear mother, Irene, whom he cherished deeply. He is survived by his father Michael, devoted partner Doreen, his brothers Stephen (Dearbhla) and Robert (Ashling), his sisters Tra (Stuart) and Veronica (Danny), and his nephews Faolán, Charlie, Joseph, Ultán, and Ordhan. His family will forever remember his generous spirit, his laughter, and the way he could light up a room with his presence.

Michael lived life with heart and purpose, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a laugh. Though he may be gone from our sight, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share the stories that made him so special.

Hugh Joseph Doherty, Letterkenny

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Hugh Joseph Doherty, Pollans, Trentagh.

Removal from the Letterkenny Funeral Home (F92 P407) at 3pm to be waked at the residence of his good friend Laura Corbett, Drumcavney, Trentagh, F92 C7X0), from 3pm to 10pm on Wednesday. At request of the deceased, wake house will be strictly private to family, friends and neighbours on Thursday.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in St Colmcille's Church, Glendowan with burial afterwards in the family plot in Temple Douglas Cemetery.

Margaret Gallagher, Ballyshannon

The death has taken place of Margaret Gallagher, Coolcholly, Ballyshannon, County Donegal and late of Inbhera na Mara residential unit, Bundoran. She passed away peacefully in the exceptional and wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Inbhera na Mara, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Mary Gallagher, her brother Eamon and wife Margo, sister Mary Jo, her aunts Lizzie, Bridget and Eileen, uncles Packie and Hugh. He is survived by her brother Thomas, nieces, nephews, brother in law John and friends.

Reposing at McGee's Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon on Thursday from 4pm to 6pm.

Funeral to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 11am with service of cremation in Lakeland's Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan at 2pm. The Funeral Mass shall be streamed live on St Patrick's church page

Donations in memory of Margaret to Inbhear na Mara residential unit c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors or any family member.
