The death has occurred suddenly on June 28 of Joe O’Donnell, St Helier, Jersey, and formerly of Ardsmore, Gortahork, Co. Donegal.

Predeceased by his loving parents Bernard and Gracie O’Donnell, he is sadly missed by his brothers David McNally and David O’Donnell, sisters Julie and Marianne O’Donnell, his nieces and nephews, Fionn, Naincí, Gracie, Úna, Sally, Maureen, Daphne and Oscar. Brothers- and sister-in-law Brian, John and Abi, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues and a wide circle of friends in Jersey and Donegal.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Sr Magdalene Moore, Donegal Town, Ballyshannon and Galway

The death has occurred of Sister Magdalene Moore, Convent of Mercy, Ardeskin, Donegal Town and formerly Ballinasloe, County Galway.

Sadly missed by the Sisters of Mercy Community, Donegal Town and Ballyshannon, and the wider Mercy Community of the Northern Branch, her brother, Mikey, her sisters-in-law, Mary Frances and Nora, her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her many friends and colleagues.

Her remains are reposing at St Catherine’s Convent of Mercy, College Street, Ballyshannon, F94 D309, on Wednesday, from 2pm until 5pm. Sr Magdalene's remains will leave Ballyshannon at 6pm on Wednesday to be received at St Patrick’s Church, Main Street, Donegal Town, F94 R5RK, 7pm for service. The coffin will remain open so that the community at large can pay their respects to Sr Magdalene from 7pm to 9pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 12 noon, in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town, with interment afterwards in Clar Cemetery, F94 VXT6. Mass can be viewed here

John Hanlon, Letterkenny

The death has taken peacefully in Donegal Hospice, of John Hanlon, Drumanaught, Newmills, Letterkenny, Donegal, F92 FW71.

Predeceased by his father Sammy and his mother Sarah. Cherished and beloved husband of Maeve. John will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, his children - Melissa (Paul), Letterkenny, Shane (Elaine), Perth, Australia & Pauric (Emma), Letterkenny. John will be deeply missed by his loving grandchildren - Carraig, Iarlaithe, Donnchadh, Erin, Guy and Penelope. Deeply regretted by his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

John's remains are reposing at his home. Family time from 10pm until 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there for Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Columba's Church, Glenswilly with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Robert O'Brien, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Robert O’Brien, 11 McNeely Villas, Letterkenny. He passed away peacefully and under the wonderful and compassionate care of the staff of Medical 3, Letterkenny University Hospital.

Very much loved and deeply missed by his brothers and sisters Patrick (Philomena), Dublin, Margaret (Russ), USA, Paul (Dorrie), Derry and Angela (CJ), Letterkenny, nieces and nephews, aunts Madge O’Donnell (England) and Eileen McGonagle (Scotland) and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Robert is predeceased by his parents Pat and Vera.

Reposal of Robert’s remains continues at his sister Angela and CJ McGinley’s residence, 7 The Grange, Glencar, Letterkenny F92 XPF5 on Wednesday from 12 noon until 9pm, with Rosary nightly at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Thursday at 12.30pm going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 1pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny Interment will take place afterwards in New Leck Cemetery, Letterkenny. 

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Medical 3 Ward, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

Hugh Kelly, Lifford

The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of Hugh Kelly, Porthall, Lifford.

Predeceased by his parents, Billy and May, his sister Marie and brother Eugene. Deeply regretted by his loyal neighbours, extended family and many friends.

Hugh's remains will be reposing at his late residence from Wednesday from 11am concluding with Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral leaving his home at 11.30am on Thursday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford, F93 X5TR. Interment will take place afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed here 

Pat O'Doherty, Dublin and Buncrana

The death has taken place of Patrick (Pat) O'Doherty, Clondalkin, formerly Buncrana and London. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Moyglare Nursing Home, Maynooth.

Predeceased by his sister Sara, brothers John and Bill, he is sadly missed and forever remembered by his nephew Garrett, nieces Jo, Nessa, Micheline, Ann, Brona, Orla, Marie, Emer and Martine, cousin Francis, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Anthony Doherty, Dungloe

The peaceful death has taken place of Anthony Doherty Main Street, Dungloe in the presence of his loving family.

Sadly missed by his beloved wife Nan and family Seamus (Karolyne), Catherine Kelly (Tony), Patricia White (Hugh), Mary Frances (Patrick) and Eimer, also his grandchildren /great-grand child, nieces and nephews. His brother Dinny (Mary Joe) and all the extended family members. Predeceased by his daughter Lorna.

Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St Crona's Church, Dungloe followed by interment in Dungloe Cemetery.

Martina Connors, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Martina Connors, 3 Neil T Blaney Road, Letterkenny. Martina passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by husband Mickey, three sons and one daughter, she is sorely missed by sons Danny, Michael, Austin, Tommy, Miley, Charlie, John and Jimmy, and daughters Pearl, Margaret, Nellie, Tina and Annie. Fondly remembered by her sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, all extended family members and friends.

Funeral Mass in St Eunan's Cathedral, Wednesday at 11am, followed by interment in Leck Cemetery.
