The following deaths have taken place:

Olivia Doherty, Buncrana

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Olivia Doherty (nee Breslin), Pillar Park, Buncrana.

Olivia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving son Kevin, daughters Susan and CJ, daughter-in-law Elaine, sister Joan, grandchildren, her wider family circle and friends.

Predeceased by her sisters Sheila, Mary, Madeline and Clare, and her brother Pat.

Her remains will be reposing at her home on Thursday, June 26 from 11am where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Removal from there on Friday, June 27 at 10.15am to St.Mary’s Church, for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Requiem Mass can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/cockhill. Family time please from 11.00pm and before the funeral on Friday.

Michael O'Leary, Carn Domhnach

The death has occurred of Michael Joseph O'Leary originally from Carn Domhnach, Donegal and late of Drumcondra, Dublin.

He passed away at his home on June 20, 2025. Proud husband of the late Margaret and loving father of Rebecca and Andrew.

Sadly missed by his son-in-law Graham, daughter-in-law Michelle and grandchildren Natasha, James, Jacques and Hugo.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Patrick Mc Gettigan, Carrigart

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Patrick Mc Gettigan (Atty), Glenree, Carrigart.

Patrick is deeply regretted by his brothers Eddie, Seamus, Denis, sister Ann, and his nieces and nephews.

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest Mountain Top on Tuesday, June 24 at 3pm going to his late residence.

Funeral on Thursday going to the church of St John the Baptist for requiem Mass at 11am followed by internment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice.

Neil Joe Ruddy, Culdaff

The peaceful death has taken place at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Neil Joe Ruddy, Dunross, Culdaff F93 XH51.

Predeceased by his parents Betty and Joseph Ruddy, his infant brothers, Michael Edward and John Joseph and his brother-in-law Leo McClenaghan.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters, Sr Margaret Ruddy, Sligo, and Mary-Jo McClenaghan, Dunross, Culdaff, extended family circle, friends and neighbours.

Neil’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN today (Tuesday) at 2pm going to his home.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning (June 26th) at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bocan followed by Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.culdaffparish.com.

Dolores Clarke (née Murphy), Galway and Buncrana

The death has occurred of Dolores Clarke (née Murphy) Rose Cottage, Mackney, Ballinasloe, Galway and formerly of Buncrana, Co. Donegal.

Dolores passed away peacefully on June 22 surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at St.Brendan's Nursing Unit (CNU), Creagh. Predeceased by her husband Padraic, her son Joachim and her brother Joe Murphy (Buncrana).

Dolores will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Olive and Marcella, sons Padraig, Peter and Adrian, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Michael, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Dolores will repose in Grenham’s Funeral Home, Ballinasloe (H53 HK15), on Tuesday, June 24 from 5pm to 7pm.

Private removal on Wednesday morning to St Michael’s Church, Ballinasloe for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Creagh Cemetery.

Michael McGeoghan, Moville and Derry

The peaceful death has taken place of Michael McGeoghan, 49 Steelstown Village, Derry and formerly of River Row, Moville.

Predeceased by his wife Anne and much loved father of Catriona and father-in-law of Eamonn. Predeceased by his sisters Jean and Katty.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters Mary, Anna and Terry, his brother Joseph, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Michael’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlins Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN, on Monday, June 23 at 4pm, going to his home in Steelstown Village where everyone is welcome to pay their respects from 6pm.

Funeral from there on Wednesday (June 25th) at 9.30am for 10am Requiem Mass in Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, followed by Interment in Drung Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/steelstown.

Pauline McGloin, Rathmullan

The death has taken place of Pauline McGloin, Main Street, Rathmullan.

Reposing at her home from 7pm on Monday, June 23.

Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan on Wednesday, June 25 at 11am, followed by private cremation.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son Anthony, brother Paul, sister Helen, mother Pauline and granddaughter Kaitlin.

Rosaline McCauley, Castlefinn

The peaceful death has occurred of Rosaline McCauley (née Crawford), Sessiagh, Castlefinn, Co. Donegal F93 YXY3.

Lovingly missed by her husband Charlie, sons and daughters Karl, Keith (Susan), Adrian (Charlene), Olga (Conor), Niamh (Shane) David (Dolly) her 16 grandchildren, her brother James (Mabel), sisters Kathleen ( Sean Quinn), Bernie (Brian Slater) and all her extended family and friends.

Rosaline was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Crawford, sisters Margaret, Evelyn and Elizabeth, may they all rest in peace.

Rosaline will be reposing at her late residence Sessiagh, Castlefinn, F93YXY3 on Monday, June 23 from 11am until 10pm and Tuesday from 11am until 10pm.

Wednesday morning of the funeral is private to the family, please.

Funeral cortege will be leaving her late residence on Wednesday morning, June 25 at 10.30am, going to St. Mary’s Church, Castlefinn for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in St. Columba’s Church Cemetery, Doneyloop F93VH90.

Funeral Mass can be viewed online via the parish webcam.
