Mary O'Brien, Ballintra

The death has occurred of Mary O'Brien (née Brennan) Derries, Ballintra, Donegal, F94 R2W9 and formerly of Ardfarna, Bundoran.

Mary passed away in Sligo University Hospital in her 62nd year  following a long battle with illness.

Predeceased by her parents, Annie (Nancy) and Patrick (Paddy) Brennan, siblings; brothers, Paddy, Kieran, Andy and James O'Brien (grandson)

Mary will be forever missed by her dear husband, Martin, her sons, James (Alison), Thomas (Tracey) and her daughters, Anna (Stephen), Theresa (Dylan) and  Francess (Shane)

She will be cherished by her grandchildren, Katie, Sophie, Jay, Lexi, Conor, Lucas, Méabh, Ella & Dylan.

Sadly missed by her sisters & brothers of the Brennan Family, Kevin, Josephine, Bernadette, Declan, Eileen, Noel, Mick, Vincent, Martin, Ann, Gerry, Sean, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews.

Reposing at her late residence in the Derries, Ballintra, (F94 R2W9) on Wednesday from 12pm until 9pm.

Please note a one way traffic system will be operational to the wake house on Wednesday, with entry via Ballintra village at the Bay Bush Bar. Please continue to follow the signs to complete the loop on exiting. Parking will be available in Kerrigan's Haulage Yard, adjacent to the wakehouse.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Brigid's Church, Ballintra, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Family home strictly private on the morning of the funeral please.

Mary's funeral mass will be streamed live on www.churchservices.tv/ballintra.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to Croí Centre, Galway. 

Seamus McHugh, Kilcar

The death has occurred of Seamus Mc Hugh of Straleel, Carrick and formerly of The Commons, Killybegs.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Marjorie and sister in law Anne.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, daughter Jacqueline (Steven), sons James (Sheila), Eoghan(Aoife) and his very much loved granddaughters Naomi, Ailbhe, and Cadhla.

Fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters in-law, extended family, many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home in Straleel (F94 R928) for wake on Sunday, June 1 from 2pm to 10pm. A one-way system will be in operation with entry via Bogagh Road and exit at Meenaneary factory.

House private outside of these times and on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral Mass on Monday, June 2 in St Cartha’s Church Kilcar (F94AK07) with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Time to be confirmed.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Oncology Ward Letterkenny or Donegal Hospice care of Mc Shane Funeral Directors or any family member.

Rose Duffy, Glengad

The death has taken place of Rose Duffy, Bunn, Glengad. 

Funeral from her home Monday, June 2 at 10:15am to St Patrick’s Church Aughaclay for 11:00am Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Ard Aoibhinn, Carndonagh c/o any family member or Kelly’s Funeral Directors.

Margaret Porter, Lifford

The death has taken place on at her home of Margaret Porter (née Harvey), 19 Glencush, Lifford F93 T9YV.

Beloved wife of the late Dan, much-loved mother of Alan, Malachy, Mary, William and the late Kay, Dominic, Daniel and Gerard and sister of the late Eileen, Sally, Rosie, Chrissy, Kathleen and Teddy.

Reposing at her home. Family time please from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral. Funeral leaving her home on Monday, June 2 at 11:20am for requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and family circle. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the parish webcam.

Kevin O’Kane, Doneyloop

The death has occurred of Kevin O’Kane Doneyloop.

He passed away peacefully in Watford, England, on May 28.

Loving brother of Teresa (Gillespie), Hugo, Noel, Brendan and the late Seamus, cherished son of the late Mary-Jane and Michael.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle and many good friends.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Victor Holmes, Raphoe

The peaceful death has taken place on May 30 at his home of Victor Holmes, Magherabouy, Raphoe, Co Donegal F93 H9E5.

Dearly loved and loving husband of Hettie and loving father of Norman (Lorraine), Gladys (Robert), Raymond (Joan) and Linda (Clement), grandfather of Heather, Ian, David, Mark and Peter and great-grandfather of Oliver and Sienna.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife and family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family circle and many friends.

Reposing at his late residence on Saturday, May 31 from 4pm until 10pm and on Sunday, June 1 from 10am until 10pm.

Funeral service at his home at 1pm on Monday, June 2 followed by interment to Mountcastle Cemetery, Duncastle Road, Strabane BT82 0LW.

John Logue, Rosnakill

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of John Logue, Main Street Rosnakill, Fanad.

Pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Kitty and sister Peggy.

Will be missed by loving wife Ellen, son Joe (Aishling), daughter Majella and his eight adored grandchildren Dylan, Katie, Ella, Mia, Kyra-Lee, Lucas , Finlay and Cillian; brothers Patsy (Glasgow) Francie (Glenvar) Liam (Glenvar) Sisters Marjorie Callaghan (Donegal) Maryrose Sheridan (Rathmullan) Elen Troop (England) Rita (Dublin).

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of rest mountain top Letterkenny on Saturday, May 31 at 2P.M. going to his late residence. 

Funeral will take place on Monday, June 2 in St Columba’s Church Massmount at 11am with burial afterwards in Massmount Cemetery. House private please from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral. 

Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to the Good and New Cancer bus c/o any family member or Joe Logue funeral director.

Margaret Ann Bowers (née Feeney), Ballintra

The death has occurred of Margaret Ann Bowers (née Feeney) of Chesterfield, UK and formerly of Ballintra. She passed away peacefully in the care of the staff of Ashgate House Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by the parents, Michael and Kathleen, brothers, Aidan and Michéal, sister Mary and son-in-law, Richard.

Sadly missed by her devoted husband Geoff, her beloved daughter, Grainne, granddaughters, Ciara and Aoife, sister Kay, brother Padraig, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
