Jackie McMullin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Jackie McMullin, Ardeskin, Donegal Town.

He passed away suddenly in Donegal Community Hospital.

Sadly missed by his sister Ellie, nieces and nephews, Henry, Jason and extended family.

Jackie’s remains will repose at his late residence in Ardeskin Friday, May 30 from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday, May 31  from 2pm until 7pm.

Jackie’s remains will leave his late residence at 11am on Sunday for requiem Mass at 11:30am in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town with burial immediately afterwards in Clar graveyard.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to Donegal Community Hospital care of any family member or Faulkner Funeral Undertakers.

Ina Hegarty, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Ina Hegarty of Ballymagowan, Dunkineely.

She passed away peacefully in the caring hands of the Harbour Lights Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Connie, sadly missed by her Son Paul (Kathleen), her Daughter Catriona, her adoring Grandchildren Conal and Caomhan, extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Friday from 3pm to 9pm. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless for funeral Mass at 11 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired, to Harbour Lights Nursing Home Patients Comfort Fund care of any family member.

Marie Byrne, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Marie Byrne (Dorrian), Main Street, Killybegs.

Predeceased by her loving husband Tommy.

Sadly missed by her daughters Caitriona (Pauric) and Sinead (Bryan), her adored grandchildren Corey, Jessica, Ayda, Christian, and Tommy, sister Noreen, brothers Pat, Thomas, Kevin, Noel, and Stephen, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in her daughter Caitriona’s home at Church Road, Killybegs (F94P2Y0) on Friday, May 30 from 11am to 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 31 at 11am in St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Mass will be streamed live at https://mcn.live/Camera/st-mary-of-the-visitation-church-killybegs.

House is private outside of reposing times and on the morning of the funeral, please.

James Russell, Churchill

The death has taken place of James Russell, Dreenagh, Ballyheigue, Co Kerry, V92W8D2, and formerly of Churchill, Letterkenny, Co Donegal on May 29, in the wonderful care of the Palliative care team at Kerry University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Jim and Nora Russell, brother Charlie, sister Elma, and brother-in-law Alex. Beloved father of Marie and son-in-law Shane. Loving grandad (Dano) of Charlie and Callum.

He will be sadly missed by his partner Kathleen, brother John, sisters Ruth, Sandra & Louise, his step-children Christina, Michelle, Laura & Mark, extended family, neighboursand many friends.

James will repose at his daughter Marie & son-in-law Shane’s Home, Dreenagh, Ballyheigue, V92 W8D2, Friday, May 30 from 3 pm to 10 pm, where all are welcome to pay your respects. House private, please, at all other times.

The funeral cortege will pass through Ballyheigue Village on Saturday, May 31 at approximately 11 am, followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 2 pm.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired, to the Palliative Care Unit, Kerry University Hospital.

“A Man of kindness, strength, humour and deep love for his family and friends. James’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him”.

Lizzie Williams, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place on Wednesday,  May 28 at The Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny of Lizzie Williams, née Larkin, Fortwell Place, Lower Main Street, Letterkenny and formerly from 108 Lower Main Street, Letterkenny.

Deeply missed by her brother Frank Larkin and sisters Loretto Flaherty, Lelia Colfer, and Josephine McHugh (USA), nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, and a wide circle of family, friends, and neighbours.

Lizzie is predeceased by her husband Mel Williams, goddaughter Geraldine Breen née Larkin, sisters Barbara Larkin, Annette Gallagher, Margaret Salih, Bobbie Smith, and Yvonne McGranaghan, brothers Gabriel, James, and Alec, and her parents Frank and Cis.

Lizzie’s remains will repose at The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny F92 XE35 on Friday, May 30 from 4pm with removal at 5.45pm to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass there on Saturday, May 31 at 11am, which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.

Molly McMenamin, Buncrana

The death has taken place of Molly McMenamin, 35 Castle Avenue, Buncrana.

Deeply saddened by her passing are her sons Denis, Sean, Mark, and Michael, extended family circle, and friends.

Molly will be reposing at her late residence from 7pm this evening, Thursday, May 29th where you are welcome to come and pay your respects.

House private from 10pm to 11am each night.

Funeral leaving her late residence on Sunday, June 1 at 12 noon going to St Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana for Funeral Mass at 12.30 followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Cockhill.

Matt Sibanda, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Matt Sibanda, St Mary’s Road, Buncrana.

Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his loving mother Bonnie, his extended family, and friends.

Matt’s remains will be reposing in St Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana on Friday, May 30 from 7pm to 10pm.

Requiem mass will take place on Saturday morning, May 31 at 9:30am followed by interment in St Mary’s cemetery, Cockhill.

Neil Connor, London and Carrigart

The death has taken place in London, England, of Neil Connor, formerly of Carrick, Carrigart.

His remains will leave the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, at 5pm on Thursday, May 29 going to the Church of St John the Baptist, Carrigart, to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Friday, May 30 at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Neil will be forever missed by his sisters, Mary and Rosaleen and his nieces and nephews, and his many friends.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund c/o any family member.

Michael Dunne, Bundoran and Tullamore

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Dunne, Drumacrin Road, East End, Bundoran and formerly of Mucklagh, Tullamore, Co Offaly.

He passed away peacefully on May 27, surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional care of all at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by Rose Dunne, his beloved son David and daughter-in-law Tanya (née O’Shea) .

Mick will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family sons Niall (Louise), Rory(Tanya RIP), daughters Claire (James), Regina and Eimear (Thomas Wilmott RIP), his beloved grandchildren Aaron, Ruby, Riain and Adam, his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Breslin’s Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran (F94E92F) on Thursday, May29  from 2pm to 8pm. All welcome.
Removal from his late residence at 10.15am on Friday to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran for burial service.

Thomas McAuley, Lifford

The sudden death has taken place of Thomas McAuley, Glencush, Lifford, F93 DR97.

He will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, wider family circle, and many friends.

Remains reposing at his late residence from 6pm on Wednesday, May 28.

Funeral from his home on Friday, May 30 at 1.15 pm for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving in Clonleigh Church of Ireland (St. Lugadius) Lifford, followed by burial in the adjoining Graveyard Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to Clonleigh Church of Ireland (St. Lugadius), Lifford, care of Gillian Graham or any family member.

Brigid Chamberlain, Buncrana

The sudden death has occurred at her home of Brigid Chamberlain, Lower Illies, Ballymagan, Buncrana, Co Donegal.

Brigid will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her loving husband Ian and her cherished daughter Claire, and her loving siblings Seamus, William, Sadie, Margaret, Cornelius, and Frances nieces and nephews, neighbours, and the wider family circle.

Brigid is predeceased by her son Shaun, her parents James and Frances, and her siblings Rose, Jane and Patrick.

Brigid’s remains are reposing at her late residence.

Wake on Thursday, May 28 from 12 noon until 9pm where all are welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Friday morning, May 29, leaving at 10am, going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Margaret Ann Bowers (née Feeney), Ballintra

The death has occurred of Margaret Ann Bowers (née Feeney) of Chesterfield, UK and formerly of Ballintra. She passed away peacefully in the care of the staff of Ashgate House Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by the parents, Michael and Kathleen, brothers, Aidan and Michéal, sister Mary and son-in-law, Richard.

Sadly missed by her devoted husband Geoff, her beloved daughter, Grainne, granddaughters, Ciara and Aoife, sister Kay, brother Padraig, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
