The following deaths have taken place:

Robert McCallion, Mayo and Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Robert (Bob) McCallion, Park Road, Swinford, Mayo and formerly of Magherarnett, Carndonagh, Co. Donegal.

Predeceased by his sons John and Robert, his parents John William and Nora. 

Loved and will be sadly missed by his wife Nancy, daughters Noreen and Deirdre, son-in-law Marty, daughter-in-law Colette, and his grandchildren, Alice, Aidan, Méabh, Sarah, Grace and Robert, his brothers Daniel (Dublin). Paddy (Donegal) and John (Sligo), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, family circle, neighbours, and his large circle of friends and former Garda Síochána colleagues.

Reposing at his home on Sunday, May 18 from 2pm until 7pm and Monday from 2pm until 6pm with removal to the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, Swinford arriving at 7pm.

Bob's Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at 12noon prior to burial in Kilconduff Cemetery.

Sadie McFadden, Gweedore and Galway

The peaceful death has taken place in the Donegal Hospice of Sadie McFadden (née Mahon), Glassagh, Gweedore, originally of Dunmore, Galway.

Her remains will repose in Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) tomorrow, Saturday, May 16th and Sunday from 3pm to 8pm. Rosary nightly at 8pm. Family home is strictly private please.

Funeral Mass will be held in St. Colmcille’s Church, Knockfola, on Monday morning, May 19th at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or Kieran Roarty Funeral Director.

Charlie McMonagle, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Charlie McMonagle, Leck, Letterkenny.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Brian, Kieran, Cathal, Mickey, Francie and Stephen, daughters Mary and Catherine, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

Charlie is predeceased by his parents Barney and Catherine, brothers Joe, Redmond, Jim and Laurence, and sisters Mary McCauley and Kathleen Stevenson. House strictly private, please, at the request of the deceased.

Requiem Mass on Sunday, May 18 in St.Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny at 12 noon, which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny, followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only, please.

Marian Muldowney, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Marian Muldowney, 52 McNeely Villas, Oldtown, Letterkenny.

She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her mother Mary Ellen and her brother Dave.

Deeply regretted by her father Dave (Skreen), her son Jason (New York), her daughter Paula, brothers John (Lismonaghan) and Pat (Mountain Top), her sister Ann Kelly (Nenagh), daughter-in-law Karen, sisters-in-law Paula and Caroline and her brother-in-law Kieran.

Sadly missed by her nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Marian’s remains will repose at her late residence on Friday, May 16 from 4pm.

A service to celebrate Marian’s life will be held at The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top Letterkenny on Saturday, May 17 at 3pm, followed by a private cremation.

The wake and service are private to immediate family only at the request of the deceased.

Dan McTeague, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place of Dan McTeague, Gortnamóna, Glencar Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal (F92 D23X), surrounded by his loving family.

Cherished and much loved, Dan will be sadly missed by his wife Bernie, his children Ethna, Fidelma, Geraldine, Kate, Josie, Joan and Paddy, sons-in-law, Mark, Fergus and Paddy, daughter-in-law Marie, his beloved grandchildren Catherine, Seamus, Aoife, Breifne, Ellen, Dan, Conall, Euan, Matthew, Eimear, Orlaith, Ciara and Aisling, nephews, nieces, neighbours and many great friends.

Reposing at his late residence today, Thursday, May 15 from 5pm to 9pm and Friday, May 16 from 5 pm to 9 pm where all are most welcome to pay your respects, concluding with Rosary on both nights. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, May 17 at 1 pm in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, which can be viewed live on the link www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny, followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

Emmanuel Familola, Buncrana

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Emmanuel Familola, Sailor’s Rest, Shore Front, Buncrana.

Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his loving mother Glory, his brothers Daniel and John, his extended family and friends.

Emmanuel’s remains will be reposing in St. Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana tomorrow evening, Friday, May 16 from 5pm to 10pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17  at 10am followed by interment in St Mary’s Cemetery, Cockhill.

Lallie (Eileen) Donaghy, Moville

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Lallie (Eileen) Donaghy, Carricklea, Greencastle Road, Moville.

Cherished wife of John and loving mother of Conor. Predeceased by her parents, Josie and Philip Kelly and brothers Hugh and Joe.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters and brothers, Carmel, Siobhan, Ciaran and Noel, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours. May Lallie Rest In Peace.

Lallie’s remains will repose at her home from 6pm, Wednesday, May 14.

The wake is private to family and close friends. A private cremation for Lallie will take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at a later date.

Bridgeen Thursby-Pelham, Buncrana and London 

The death has taken place in London of Bridgeen Thursby-Pelham Née Doherty (Hutton), daughter of the late Eddie and Annie Doherty, Millbrae, Buncrana.

Wife of the late Vaughan RIP and dear mother of Adelita, Brian, Anna, Cressetta, and Fergus. Sister of Aidan Doherty.

Sadly, missed by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family circle, and friends.

Remains reposing at McLaughlin’s funeral home, Buncrana, from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.

Funeral removal from there on Sunday, May 18, going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Guaborg Bevvick, Glenties

The death has occurred in her 106th year, of Gunborg Benvick, Glenmacannive, Glenties. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.

Sadly missed by her son Sune, granddaughter Louise (Anthony), grandson Sven (Dorota), great-grandchildren Patrick, Tony, Shaun, Karolina, Sara and Henrik, great-great-grandchildren Sophie and Sarah-Jayne and her carer Niamh.

Family home private please at the request of the deceased. 

 Everyone welcome to pay their respects at Shovlin's funeral home on Saturday, May 17 from 3pm until 5pm.

Gunborg's funeral cortege will travel via Glenties on Monday morning at approximately 10am on route to Dublin.
