Death notices for Donegal on Monday morning

The following deaths have taken place:

- Malachy Gallagher, Ballyshannon

- Mary Mitchell, Leitrim and Milford

- Brendan McGloin, Kinlough and Bundoran 

- Jimmy Gillespie, Crolly

- Mary Burke, Kilmacrennan

Malachy Gallagher, Ballyshannon

The death has taken place unexpectedly in England of Malachy Gallagher, Ballure Lane, Coolcholly, Ballyshannon, F94 EE61

Predeceased by his loving parents Joe and Molly, his beautiful son Daniel, his siblings Leo, Mary and Fionn. Heartbreakingly missed by his wife Angela and daughter Annie. Sadly missed by his sister Carmel, brothers Mark, John, Ignatius, Dessie, Joe, Conal, his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.

Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Mary Mitchell, Leitrim and Milford

The death has occurred of  Mary Mitchell, Derryloughan, Tullaghan, County Leitrim and formerly of Milford. She passed away peacefully on April 4 in the exceptional care of all at Nazareth House Nursing Home, Sligo.

Mary will be forever loved and sadly missed by her loving family, her beloved husband Pat, sons John (Tina) and Patrick (Maryann) her beloved grandchildren Stephen, Jason, Keelyn, Kyle and Shannon and all her relatives, great neighbours and great friends.

Removal from her home on Monday, April 7 at 10.30am to arrive at St  Aidan’s Church, Kinlough for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards to St Aidan’s Cemetery, Kinlough for burial service. Mary’s Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the Kinlough - Glenade Parish Facebook Page.

Brendan McGloin, Kinlough and Bundoran 

The death has occurred of Brendan McGloin, 12, Dartry View, Kinlough, Co Leitrim, F91C9D3 and formerly of West End, Bundoran, Co Donegal. he passed away on  April 4 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Brendan will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving family, his beloved wife Allie, his adoring children Céalagh, Ruben, Jamie and Kyle, his heartbroken parents Frankie and Claire, his dear brothers and sisters Francis, Ciaran, Geraldine and Sandra, his mother-in-law Maureen, his nieces, nephews and all his many relatives, great neighbours, his beloved dog Otis and a large circle of wonderful friends he met along the way through his many talents and interests.

Removal from his home on Monday at 12.45pm to arrive at St Aidan’s Church, Kinlough for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Bundoran for burial service. Brendan’s Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the Kinlough - Glenade Parish Facebook page.

Jimmy Gillespie, Crolly

The death has occurred in Dungloe District Hospital of Jimmy Gillespie, Lough Agher, Crolly.

Funeral mass on Monday at 11am at St Crona’s Church, Dungloe with interment after in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Burke, Kilmacrennan

The death has taken place of Mary Burke, née Duffy, 290 Rosemount, Kilmacrennan, F92 V18C, peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by parents Andy and Sheila Duffy, husband Willie, sister Bridget, son William and daughter-in-law Julie. She is survived by sons Andy (Anne), Peter (Teresa), Timmy (Jeanette), daughters Julienne (John Joe), Laura (PJ), grandchildren and great grandchildren. Deeply regretted by brothers John and Michael Duffy, sisters Peggy Harrison and Anne Gallagher. Fondly remembered by extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Funeral from her late residence on Monday for requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/kilmacrenan

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice care of any family member or Charlie McClafferty Funeral Director.
