The following deaths have taken place:

- Mary Burke, Kilmacrennan

- Laurence Cavanagh, Greencastle

Mary Mitchell, Leitrim and Milford

The death has occurred of  Mary Mitchell, Derryloughan, Tullaghan, Co Leitrim and formerly of Milford, Co Donegal.

She passed away peacefully on April 4 in the exceptional care of all at Nazareth House Nursing Home, Sligo.

Mary will be forever loved and sadly missed by her loving family, her beloved husband Pat, sons John (Tina) and Patrick (Maryann) her beloved grandchildren Stephen, Jason, Keelyn, Kyle and Shannon and all her relatives, great neighbours and great friends.

Reposing at Breslin’s Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Sunday, April 6 from 4pm to 7pm. All welcome.

Removal from her home on Monday, April 7 at 10.30am to arrive at St  Aidan’s Church, Kinlough for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards to St. Aidan’s Cemetery, Kinlough for burial service.

Brendan McGloin, Kinlough and Bundoran 

The death has occurred of Brendan McGloin, 12, Dartry View, Kinlough, Co Leitrim, F91C9D3 and formerly of West End, Bundoran, Co Donegal.
he passed away on  April 4 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Brendan will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving family, his beloved wife Allie, his adoring children Céalagh, Ruben, Jamie and Kyle, his heartbroken parents Frankie and Claire, his dear brothers and sisters Francis, Ciaran, Geraldine and Sandra, his mother-in-law Maureen, his nieces, nephews and all his many relatives, great neighbours, his beloved dog Otis and a large circle of wonderful friends he met along the way through his many talents and interests.

Reposing at his home, 12 Dartry View, Kinlough F91C9D3 on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 from 2pm to 8pm. House Private at all other times please.

Removal from his home on Monday, April 7 at 12.45pm to arrive at St. Aidan’s Church, Kinlough for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Bundoran for burial service.

Jimmy Gillespie, Crolly

The death has occurred in Dungloe District Hospital of Jimmy Gillespie, Lough Agher, Crolly.

Jimmy’s remains will be reposing in McGlynn’s funeral Home today Saturday April 5 from 4pm until 8pm, and Sunday April 6th from 4pm to 8pm.

Rosary both nights at 8pm.

Funeral mass on Monday, April 7 at 11am at St. Crona’s Church, Dungloe with interment after in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Murrin, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Mary Murrin, 91 Church Road, Killybegs, peacefully at Letterkenny Universal Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her husband Seamus, parents Johnny and Mary Shovlin, brother John and sister Bridie Johnston.

Sadly missed by her daughters Yvonne (Val – RIP), Marie (Irwin), Louise (Michael – RIP), Dympna, Norietta (Ben) and Jacqueline, sons James (Margaret) and Hugo, her 26 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, brothers James (Dungloe) and Martin, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her residence on Saturday, April 5 from 12 noon to 10pm.

Removal on Sunday, April 6 at 10.30am for 11am funeral Mass in St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Mass will be streamed live here.

Eddie Shiels, St Johnston

The peaceful death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Eddie Shiels, Ballylennon, St Johnston, Co Donegal.

He will be missed dearly by his nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Eddie will be reposing at his nephew’s Shaun Shiels, residence, Conneyburrow Road, Lifford, F93 V67E from 8pm on Friday,  April 4 and all day Saturday for wake.

Funeral Cortege will be leaving Conneyburrow Road, Lifford on Sunday at 11.15 am travelling via White Cross, Ballylennon and onto St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 12 noon Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Burke, Kilmacrennan

The death has taken place of Mary Burke (nee Duffy), 290 Rosemount, Kilmacrennan, F92 V18C, peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by parents Andy and Sheila Duffy, husband Willie (2022), sister Bridget (2014), son William (2016) and daughter in law Julie (2020).

Survived by sons Andy (Anne), Peter (Teresa), Timmy (Jeanette), daughters Julienne (John Joe), Laura (PJ), grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Deeply regretted by brothers John and Michael Duffy, sisters Peggy Harrison and Anne Gallagher. Fondly remembered by extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Mary’s remains will repose at her late residence from 8pm on Friday, April 4. Funeral from there on Monday, April 7 for requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Laurence Cavanagh, Greencastle

The sudden death has taken place at his home of Laurence Cavanagh, Drumaweir House, Sean Tí Bar, Greencastle, F93 HT25.

Beloved husband of Roisin and much loved father of John, Denis (Niamh), Tracy, Kevin (Laura), Donal, Adrian (Susie) and Megan. Devoted grandad of Noah, Eve, Penny, Aisling, Jack, Emily, James, Logan, Rebecca, Clodagh and Ría.
Predeceased by his brother John.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters Rosemary and Lucy, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Laurence’s remains will repose at his home from 11am on Friday, April 4, where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Sunday, April 6 at 10.45am for 11.30am funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, followed by Interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to St Vincent de Paul and The RNLI C/O any family member or Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director.
