The following deaths have taken place:

Sean P Gallagher, Bundoran

The death has taken place of Sean P Gallagher, Ardfarna, Bundoran.

He passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in the exceptional care of all at Sligo University Hospital.

Sean will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving family, his beloved wife Mary, his dear sisters Annette (Billy Boyle, Kilcar), and Maeve (Liam McGrath, Leixlip), brothers-in-law Pat McDonagh (Coolaney) and Willie McDonagh (Ballisodare), niece and nephews Wendy, Warren, Lynn, Katherine and Johnny and all his relatives, great neighbours and great friends.
Predeceased by his parents John Francis and Margaret Gallagher.

Reposing at home, Ardfarna, Bundoran F94TK70 on Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4 from 4pm to 8pm on both days. House private to family and close friends at all other times please.

Removal from his home on Saturday, April 5 at 10.20am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards (driving via Newtown Rd, Moy Rd and Drumacrin Rd) to Finner Cemetery, Bundoran for burial service. Sean’s funeral Mass can be viewed live here.

Rose (Rósha) Carr, Glencolmcille

The peaceful death has taken place of Rose Carr (nee Boyle) under the exceptional care of Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny on  April 2, 2025.

Rose will be remembered by her husband Joe, her family Paul (Marian), Brenda, Marcella (Paul), Josie, Vera, Lorraine (Shaun), Maria (Martin) and Damien. Her grandchildren Barry, Kellie, Patrick, Emer, Erin, Fionnuala, Mia, Shea and Rubeyn. Rose is survived by her brother Brendan and sister Beattie.

Remains reposing at McCabe's Funeral Home, Ardara (F94 VCK1) on Wednesday, April 2 from 4pm to 8pm and on Thursday, April 3 from 12pm - 5pm.

Remains reposing at her family on Thursday evening. House Strictly Private. Funeral Mass on Friday, April 4 at 11am at St Columba's Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family Flowers only please with donations in lieu to Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, C/O Michael L Byrne, Funeral Director or any family member.

Frances Boyle, Donegal Town

The death has taken place of Frances Boyle (nee Martin), Driminin, Barnesmore, Donegal Town.  She passed away peacefully in Áras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing home surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband, Michael. Sadly missed by her son Brian(Catriona McMullin) and daughter Noreen (Paul Fiorentini), her grandchildren Gráinne(Eoghan), Éilis, Nóirín, Clara(Russell), Michael(Lauren), Martin & Hanna and great grandchildren, Luca, Nora, Brónagh Frances and extended family.

Frances’s remains will repose at her late residence, F94 D6R3, from 7pm to 9pm tonight, Wednesday April 2nd and from 2pm until 9pm tomorrow Thursday April 3rd.

Removal to St Agatha’s Church, Clar, on Friday morning April 4th for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

John Griffin, Castlefinn

The death has taken place peacefully at home of John Griffin, Demesne, Ringsend, Castlefin, F93 E9C7.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara, much loved father of Meraid, Marcus, Andrea, Tori and the late Dallas.

Reposing at his late home on Wednesday, April 2 from 2pm.

Private removal to Lynch’s Funeral Home, 50 Castlefinn Road, Castlederg, BT81 7 EE on Thursday, April 3.

Service in the Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5 at a time to be confirmed.

Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Hugh McFadden, Gaoth Dobhair and Galway

The death has occurred of Hugh McFadden Blackgarden, Craughwell, Galway and  formerly of Cnoc Fola, Gaoth Dobhair.

He passed away very peacefully in The Galway Hospice. Pre-deceased by his parents, Paddy and Máire McFadden and father in-law Michael Irwin.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Edel, his precious daughters; Aileen, Maya and Anna, sisters; Anne, Kathleen, Maureen and Noreen, brothers; Pádraig and Raymond, mother in-law Eileen, brothers in-law Pat, Kieran, John Paul and Joseph, sisters in-law Jacinta and Gemma, extended family neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway City (H91 CK854), on Thursday, April 3 from 4pm. Removal at 7pm to his home in Blackgarden, Craughwell. Hugh's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, April 4 at 1pm, in St Colman's Church, Craughwell (H91 F5X2). Hugh will then be laid to rest in Killogilleen Cemetery, Craughwell, Co. Galway.

Motorists attending the reposing on Thursday evening, are advised to park in the car park in the Corrib Shopping Centre, which is located directly opposite Irwin's Funeral Home. Please note that the car park remains open until 9pm (H91 DP6R).

Ann McGrory (née Herron), Fintown

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Ann McGrory, Fintown.

Ann is predeceased by her husband Seamus and sister Kathleen. Sadly missed and deeply regretted by her loving family, daughter Emma (John), sons Shane and Aaron (Tara), six grandchildren, brother Michael and sisters Marie and Sadie. May She Rest in Peace.

The wake will commence in her home at 12 noon on Thursday, April 3 until Rosary at 9 pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, April 4 at 11am in St Colmcille's Chapel, Fintown, with burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Charles David Moffitt, Dunfanaghy

The death has taken place of Charles David Moffitt of 32 Oak Grove, Dunfanaghy, much loved brother of Marlene Irwin (nee Moffitt). David will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.

House private, no wake. Funeral Service in St John's Church, Ballymore (F92AE10) on Friday, April 4 at 12.00 noon. Followed by private cremation.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to The Irish Heart Foundation c/o any family member or James Harkin Funeral Director, Creeslough.

Margaret Crumlish, Moville

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Margaret Crumlish, Upper Ballybrack, Moville.

Predeceased by her loving husband Sean. Much loved mother of John (Jenny), Bridin, Sarah (John), Harry (Tina), Mairead (John), Adrian, Catherine, Charlene (Paul) and Melissa and a cherished granny to all her grandchildren.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister and brothers, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Margaret’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN, this evening (Tuesday) at 6pm going to her home.

Funeral from there on Thursday, April 3 at 10.30am for 11am funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time from 10pm to 11am. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to The Patients Comfort Fund, Letterkenny University Hospital C/O any family member or Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director.
