The death has occurred at Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, of James Gerald (Jimmy) Anderson, Tyrcallen, Stranorlar. Beloved husband of Margaret, much loved father to Mary, (Knut) and Tony, (Wendy) cherished brother of Beattie, Isobel, and the late Hazel. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, sisters, son in law, daughter in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Sunday January 5 from 5pm until 9pm and on Monday from 3pm until removal at 5pm to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar to repose overnight.
Requiem Mass at 11am on Tuesday January 7. Interment afterwards in St.Mary’s Churchyard, Sessiaghoneill. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish webcam.

Josephine Doherty, Dunfanaghy
The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Josephine Doherty (née Gallagher), Rockhill, Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal.
Sadly missed by her husband Gerry and her beloved daughter Clodagh. No wake, house strictly private please.
Viewing will take place at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal on Monday, January 8 from 4pm to 6pm followed by removal to Holy Cross Church, Dunfangahy for 7pm to repose overnight.

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Elizabeth Nelson, Gibb, Glenagannon, Carndonagh F93Y050.
Predeceased by her loving husband Henry and much-loved mother of Robert, Stanley and Weir.
Dear sister of John, William, Charlotte, Lucy, Ann and predeceased by her brother Campbell.
Deeply regretted by her grandchildren Isaac and Aaron, her daughter-in-law Helen, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Patrick McGrath, Pettigo
The death has occurred of Patrick (Patsy) McGrath, Mill Street, Pettigo.
He passed away after a short illness in Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his wife Anne, and loving father of Winnie, Pauric, Paul, Aidan, Dermott, Diane, Declan, Lorraine and the late Desmond.
Patrick will be reposing at his late residence with a walk through system on Sunday, January 5 from 1pm to 9pm and Monday from 1pm to 9pm. Family time please outside of these hours. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am in Saint Mary's Church, Pettigo followed by Interment in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please.

Paddy McLaughlin, Athlone, Burtonport and Rathmullan
The death has occurred of Paddy McLaughlin, Roscommon Road, Athlone and late of Burtonport and Rathmullan, Co Donegal.
Retired Defence Forces. He passed away peacefully in the loving presence of his family on January 3, 2025, in the excellent care of the staff in the ICU at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, three days after his 80th birthday.
Pre-deceased by his parents Anthony and Margaret McLaughlin and siblings Rose (McBride), John and Tony. Beloved husband for 58 years of Annette (nee Warde, Baylough). Cherished father of Enda, Fiona Connolly and Karen Dempsey. Much loved father-in-law to Michelle Jessop, John and Paul. Dearly loved grandfather to Cian, Thomas, Caleb and Gabriel McLaughlin, Lauren , Evan, Megan and Rachel Connolly, Kate and Adam Dempsey. Great-grandfather to Teddy Troute and Mabel Connolly Griffin. Sadly missed by his family, brother in law Nick Warde, Baylough, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, ex colleagues and neighbours.

The death has occurred of Vincent Gormley, Mill Road, Mornington, Meath; Drogheda, Louth and formerly of Muff, Co Donegal.
He passed away peacefully, at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross, Dublin. Beloved husband of Marian, loving father of John, Gerard, Tony, Barry and Brian.
Sadly missed by his wife and family, daughters-in-law Penny, Regina, Karen and Clare, his grandchildren Ellen, Seán, Genevieve, Gavin, Caroline, Paul, Niamh, Seán, Aoife, Finn, Niamh, Marianne and Patrick, brothers-in-law Bryan, Tommy and Johnny, sisters-in-law Maeve and Veronica, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Donal Kelly, Flower Grove, Glenageary and formerly of Buncrana.
He passed away peacefully on January 3 in the wonderful care of Altadore Nursing Home, Glenageary.
Cherished husband of Ann and much-loved father of Fergal and Damian. He will be sadly missed by his sister Kitty and husband Pat, sister-in-law Frances and husband Tom, brothers-in-law Micheal, Tom, Seamus and Paul, daughters-in-law Orla and Jennifer and his beloved grandchildren Lia, Ethan, Luca, Adam and Amy, many nieces and nephews, his former RTÉ colleagues and many friends, including those in the RTE Philharmonic Choir.

The death has occurred of Daria Dolan (nee McGovern), Tullan Strand Road, Bundoran, and formerly of The Irish House, Swanlinbar, Co Cavan.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Sligo University Hospital. Beloved mother of Declan, Patricia, Raymond and Darragh.
She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving sons, daughter, daughters-in-law Carmel, Linda and Catherine, her beloved grandchildren Matthew, Lorna, Darragh, Niamh, Charlie and James, her great-grandchild Aoibhe, her sisters Maureen and Rosario and all her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death has occurred of James (Jamie) Harty, Newport, South Wales. He passed away peacefully after a short illness on December 11, 2024, aged 60 years.
Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Claire Harty nee Dolan, The Knather, Ballyshannon. Missed and cherished by his sisters Maggie, Sue and Anna, mother-in-law Teresa Dolan, The Knather, Ballyshannon and brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews and all his friends.
Requiem Mass to take place on Thursday, January 9 at 1.30pm at St Patrick's RC Church, Newport, South Wales followed by cremation at Langstone Vale Crematorium at 3pm.
A Mass will be offered for Jamie in St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon at a later date.
Joseph Houston, Cloghan
The death has occurred peacefully at his home in Birmingham, England, in his 100th year, of Joseph Houston, formerly of Lettershanbo, Cloghan.
Beloved husband of the late Mary, much loved father to Angela, (James) Caroline, (Craig) and John (Helen). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his son, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephews, nieces in Ireland and England, (Mc Cool family, Hone family, Houston family) extended family and friends.
