Sr Stella Herlihy, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Sr Stella Herlihy, Sister Of Mercy, late of Convent of Mercy Donegal Town peacefully in Sligo University Hospital.

Gerard Hannaway, Buncrana

The death has taken place peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, of Gerard Hannaway, Bunrana. 

Beloved son of the late Alfy, Mary and Susan, much loved brother of Sheila and Mary and the late Alfin and Sean. Beloved brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle.

Hugh Canning, Greencastle

The peaceful death has taken place at The Donegal Hospice of Hugh Canning, Carrowhugh, Greencastle F93 T6KO.

Predeceased by his Brother Laurence and Paddy, deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister-in-law, nieces and  ephew, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Hugh's remains are reposing at his home with Rosary at 9pm with family time from 10pm to 11am.

Funeral from there on Tuesday morning at 10.30am for 11am Mass in St Mary's Church, Ballybrack followed by interment in Ballybrack Graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to The Donegal Hospice C/O any family member or Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director.

Charlie Coll, Inishboffin and Gortahork

The peaceful death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Charlie Coll Baltoney, Gortahork F92 A9C7 and Formerly of Inishboffin.

Predeceased by his mother Áine, he is survived by his wife Bridin, sons Paul N(icola), Daniel, Ciaran (Amanda), daughters Eibhlin (John) and Áine, grandchildren Kayla, Krysta, Cayden, Daniel, Cillian, Kiana and Ashton, father Dan, brothers Harry (Marie) and Owenie (Marion), sisters Mary Ellen (Henry) and Nancy (Sandy), uncle Pat and aunt Maggie, in-laws, nieces, nephews and a circle of family and friends.

Reposal of his remains continues at his residence in Baltoney F92 A9C7 on Monday 11am, with Rosary at 8pm. House private after Rosary till 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Ronald F Gammell, Wicklow and Burtonport

The death has occurred of Ronald F Gammell, Greystones, Wicklow and Burtonport. He passed away peacefully on November 21 at the Blackrock Hospital.

Devoted, loving husband and best friend of Rosemary, exceptional father to Colin, Geoff, Lorna and Darragh adored grandfather to Georgia, Josh, Karla, Kieran, Ben and Pippa. Sadly missed by his sisters Vera and Claire, daughters-in-law Eleanor and Wendy and Lorna’s partner Paul, his devoted dog Cooper, extended family and friends. Ronald is predeceased by his parents Frances and Henry and his brothers Tony, Jimmy and Vincent.

His remains are reposing at the William Doyle Funeral Home Kilcoole from 6pm until 8pm on Monday.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 2pm in the Holy Rosary Church, Greystones after which Ronald will be laid to rest in Kilquade New Cemetery.

Rita Flannery, Sligo and Carrigart

The death has occurred of  Rita Flannery, 'Springmount', Tubbercurry, County Sligo and formerly of Carrickart. She passed away peacefully in the exceptional and compassionate care of the wonderful staff of the North West Hospice Sligo surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Predeceased by her husband Dr Sean, brothers Paddy, Danny, Bill and her son-in-law Tom Carmody. Deeply mourned by her family, Evelyn, Enda, Una, Maeve, Louis and Lorcan, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Aifric, Eithne, Aengus and Emma, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from the family home on Monday morning to arrive in St John The Evangelist Church Tubbercurry for requiem Mass at 11.30 with the burial afterwards to Rhue cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to North West Hospice Sligo.

Dorothy Kelly, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Dorothy Kelly Drimaneary, Mountcharles.

Predeceased by her husband Joe, sadly missing by her sons, Alex, Wayne, Peter and Shawn, her granddaughter Shannon.

Removal from Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles on Monday  going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, for 12 noon funeral mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Dermot Mc Carthy, Donegal Town

The death has occurred peacefully in Donegal Community Hospital of Dermot Mc Carthy, Clareden Drive, Donegal Town.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Irene, sons Justin, Finbarr, Olan (Elaine) grandchildren Angela, Olan, Bernadette and Aisling.

Dermot’s remains reposed overnight at St Patrick’s Church Donegal Town.

Requiem Mass takes place on Monday at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in Clar Graveyard.

Patrick McMenamin, Dunkineely

The death has occurred peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Patrick McMenamin, Killaghtee, Dunkineely.

Predeceased by his parents Seamus and Peggy and his sister Margaret, Patrick will be sadly missed by his wife Anne, son Kevin, his adoring grandchildren Caitlin and Alannah, brother Gerald, sisters Marian and Bernadette, extended family, friends and neighbours.

HIs remains are reposing at his residence. House private please.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in the Church of St Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary McEntee, Dublin and Creeslough

The death has occurred of  Mary McEntee, née McGinley, of Cabinteely, Dublin 18 and formerly of Killoughcarron, Creeslough. She passed away peacefully, in her 90th year, in the kind and compassionate care of the staff at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) McEntee, devoted and much-loved mother of Anne Marie, Kathleen and John and loving sister of Neil, Brigid and the late Kathleen. Sadly missed by all her family, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 10am in St Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
