Paddy Cassidy, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Paddy Cassidy, 11 Erne Dale Heights, Ballyshannon, peacefully at North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken Wife Martina, his children Alana (Graham), Jamie (Sinead), Shonagh (Kevin), Lauren (Ultan), his adored grandchildren Iris, Theo, Nahla, Arlo, Torin, Pàidì, Tallin, brothers John, Joe, and sister Anne Treanor, nieces, nephews, all extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Annie, sister Marie

Noreen Boner, Burtonport

The peaceful death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Noreen Boner, Keadue Strand Road. Sadly missed by her children: Jackie, John, Patricia, Mary and Patrick, grandchildren: Emma, Simone, Shannon, Claire, Kelly, Freya and Rowan, sister Rose and brother Stephen, daughters in law Margaret and Mary, son in law David, nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Jeanie and Pat her husband Patrick, sister Mary, brother Hugh, son in law Eddie.

Remains will repose in McGlynns Funeral Home, Dungloe on Saturday, October 12 from 2pm until Rosary at 8pm followed by private removal to her home. The house is strictly private please and also on the morning of the funeral. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in St Mary's Church, Kincasslagh with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.

Thanks to all the staff at Letterkenny  University Hospital. Family flowers only. Donations to Letterkenny Hospital Dialysis Unit.

Robert (Bertie) Love, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Robert (Bertie) Love, Finnabanes, Donegal Town. 

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughters Gillian, Barbara, Sabrina and Amanda, son Robert, grandchildren Lauren, Jenna, Kiera, Emma, George, Sophie and Gerard, brothers Billy and Thomas and sisters Elizabeth and Margaret. Also by Margaret.

Predeceased by baby Love, his parents Bob and Sadie, his brothers Jack and Stephen and granddaughter Naomi.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his aunt June, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Tir Conaill Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town F94 FX3A on Sunday, October 13 from 4pm to 7pm.

Funeral service in Donegal Parish Church Monday 14th October at 2pm followed by burial in the Glebe Cemetery Donegal Town.

Thomas McCready, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Thomas McCready, Ballymagowan, Dunkineely and formerly of Ballysaggart, St John's Point in the caring hands of the Harbour Lights Nursing Home.

Predeceased by father Willie and mother Mary Ann, his wife Margaret, partner Breda, his brothers Edward, Paddy, Seamus and John, sisters Mary Margaret, Bridget, Alice and Teresa. Sadly missed by his sister Lily (Seattle), his sister in law Mary (England) and his partner Ina, his nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shovlin's Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, on Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm followed by removal to the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless, going via Ardaghey and Dunkineely, to repose overnight. Funeral mass on Saturday morning at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.


John Farren, Carndonagh

The sudden death has taken place at his home of John Farren (Mickey Roe), 22 Pound Street, Carndonagh F93 XN9D and formerly of Aughaclay School House.

Beloved Husband of Mary and much loved Father of Martin (Ann), Geraldine (Seamus) and Helen (Tommy),

Devoted Granddad of Shane, Emer, Megan, Siobhan, Ciara and Jack.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his Sisters Annie and Mary Ellen, his Nieces and Nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

John's remains are now reposing at his home, where you are all welcome to pay your respects on Friday from 3pm to 10pm and Saturday from 11am to 10pm.

Funeral from there on Sunday, October 13 at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh followed by Interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Kyle Mc Dermott, Burt and Tyrone

The death has taken place on October 7 at Altnagelvin Hospital of Kyle Mc Dermott Castlecooley, Burt.

Cherished son of Stephen and Claire, beloved partner of Chloe, much loved brother of Stephanie, Arden and Sheehan, dearly loved grandson of Ellen and the late Packie Mallon and the late Phonsie and Annie Mc Dermott.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken mum, dad, partner, brothers, sister, granny and family circle. 

Funeral leaving his home on Sunday, October 13 at 1.20pm for Mass in St. Aengus’ Church, Burt at 2pm.

Interment afterwards in Burt Cemetery.

Maeve Lydon, St John's Point and Dublin

The death has occurred of Maeve Lydon (née Ryan) St John’s Point, Co Donegal and late of Mount Merrion.

She passed away peacefully in the tender care of the staff of St Vincent’s University Hospital with her loving husband Donal by her side. She will be very sadly missed by Donal who is inconsolable with grief and by her brother Padraig, her sisters Breeda and Caroline, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Seamus (Jim) and Edward, and her sisters Mairead and Antoinette.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum on Monday, October 14 from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday, October 15 to Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion, arriving for 10am funeral Mass. Prayers at Ballymacward Parish Church at 3pm followed by burial in Ballymacward Cemetery, Co Galway.

Michael Doherty, Buncrana

The death has taken place at his residence of Michael Doherty (Hutton) St Mary’s Road, Buncrana.

Beloved husband of Mary and dear father of Seamus, Regina, Declan, Kieran, Connie and Tina.

Son of the late James and Mary RIP, sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, grandchildren, family circle and friends.

Removal from McLaughlin’s funeral home at 6pm on Thursday, October 10. Reposing at his residence from 6:30pm.

Funeral from there on Sunday, October 13 at 12.10pm, going to St Mary’s Oratory for 12:30pm requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Cockhill cemetery.

Barry Breslin, Kilcar 

The tragic death has occurred of Barry Breslin following an accident in Perth, Australia.

Beloved father to his son Tommy. Sadly missed by his loving fiancée, Melissa, his parents Mary and Seamus, his brothers Owen (Beth and Hazel) and Shane (Gerard).

House private until further notice. Funeral arrangements later.
