Brendan McManus, Lifford and Longford

The death has occurred of Brendan McManus Cavan Hill, Lifford, Donegal, F93 NY5F and Ballymahon, Longford.
He passed away surrounded by his loving family, September 27. Beloved husband of Marie, much loved father of Damian (Mary), Emma (Aidy), Ryan (Denise) and Shane (Jeanne), loving granda of Stiofán, Oisín, Dárie, Cillian, Cathaoir, Jennifer, Aaron, Jack, Joseph, Arlo and Mila-Grace, cherished son of the late Joseph and Kathleen.

Reposing at the family home from 6pm on Friday, September 27. Funeral from the family home on Sunday, September 29 at 11.15am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Strabane. Interment afterwards in Strabane Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam

Family time please from 11 pm to 11 am and on the morning of the funeral. Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Kathleen Breslin, Buncrana and London

The death has taken place in London of Kathleen Breslin, Palmers Green, London and formerly of Buncrana.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Danny Walsh, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Danny Walsh, Milestone House, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, F92 RWP7.

Retired security officer, UNIFI, formerly of Tipperary. He passed away on September 27, peacefully at home, surrounded by his devoted family.

Deeply regretted and forever missed by his loving wife, Rose, daughters Bernie (Martin) and Mags (Martin), sons Harry (Patricia) and John (Cathy), grandchildren Holly, Megan, Niamh, Freya, James, Danny, Paul, Luke and Ollie, great-granddaughter, Zia, nieces, nephews and extended family, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by his grandchildren Jack and Isabelle, his brothers Sean, Mick, Jimmy and Tommy, sisters Biddy and Mary, he is survived by his brother Packie (Queanbeyan, NSW, Australia) and sister Winnie Thomas (Bridgend, Wales).

Reposing at his late residence on Friday, September 27 from 6pm to 10pm and tomorrow Saturday, September 28 from 12 noon to 10pm with Rosary on both nights at 9 pm.

Removal from there on Sunday 29th September to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine (F92 PN81), for 11.30 am Mass which can be viewed live,  followed by burial in Ballybrack Cemetery, Greencastle. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if wished to the Donegal Hospice c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny.

Seamus Byrne, Castlefinn

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, of Seamus Byrne, Ir-De-Bar, Liscooly, Castlefinn, F93 FP3C.

Beloved husband of Kathleen, much loved father of daughters, Irene, Dervla, son Barry, sons in law Tim and Paul, cherished brother of Vera, Pete, devoted grandfather to Cliodhna, Carrig, and Aoife. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brother, sister, sons in law, grandchildren, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Navenny Car Park, Ballybofey on Friday, September 27 from 6pm to 9pm and at his his late residence at Liscooly, on Saturday September 28 from 2pm until 9pm, with rosary both nights at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the Funeral please.

Funeral leaving from his home on Sunday, September 29 at 1.20pm for 2pm Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon. Interment in the adjoining churchyard. Requiem Mass can be viewed live here.

Rita Bradley, Stranorlar

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Rita Bradley, 35 Woodlawn, Stranorlar, F93 H7E2. Formerly of  Rosslare, Co Wexford.

Beloved wife of John, much-loved mother of Brendan, Damien, Claire, Shane, Eva, dearly loved grandmother to Tamara, Naomi, Shania, Joel, Yashin, Bobby, Callum, Jay, Davitt, Shaunie, Erin, Beth, Kael, Libby.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at her late residence on Thursday, September 26 from 12 noon. Family time from 10pm to 12 noon, each day, and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving her residence on Saturday, September 28 at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am. Interment in Drumboe Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish webcam.

Rose Theresa Mc Dermott (nee Cannon), Birmingham and Magheroarty

The sudden death has taken place in Wolverhampton Hospital, England of Rose Theresa McDermott (nee Cannon) of Birmingham and formerly of Magheroarty, Gortahork, Co. Donegal.

Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Ellen, her brother James Anthony. Survived by her daughters Eve and Clara, her sister Geraldine, brother-in-law Hughie, nieces Laura and Charlotte, and a circle of family and friends.

Rose's remains will travel the Derryconnor Road, over Magheroarty Hill and back to arrive at Christ the King Church, Gortahork at approximately 6pm on Friday, September 27 with Rosary on arrival. Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 28, at 11am with burial afterwards in the family plot.  Funeral mass can be viewed live here.
