Seán Denis Maher, Meath and Bayview, Inishowen

The death has taken place of Seán Maher, Tailteann Close, Navan, County Meath, and formerly of Bayview, Inishowen.

Seán passed away after a long illness on May 28 in the presence of his loving family and in the kind care of the nursing staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.

Sadly missed by his mum Cecilia Quinn, his father Michael Maher, brothers Mike, Robert, Dillon, Patrick and Liam, his sisters MollyKate and Abbey, and extended family and friends. 

A ceremony of celebration of Seán’s life has taken place in private in accordance with Seán’s wishes.

Phil Kelly, Wexford and Ballyshannon

The death has taken place Phil Kelly, Parklands, Wexford Town, and formerly Taghmon, Wexford and  Ballyshannon. 

Beloved husband of the late Bernadette and loving father of Marcella, Dolores, Paul and Fidelma. Sadly missed by son-in-law Jeffrey, Tom and grandchildren Marcus and Aoife, his loving family, relatives and friends.

His remains are reposing in his residence on Monday from 6pm until 9pm and on Tuesday from 1pm until removal at 4.45pm to Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rowe Street, for Mass at 5.45pm.

Funeral will arrive to St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, on Wednesday at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Irish Cancer Society at www.cancer.ie

Bríd Fitzpatrick, Malinbeg

The death has occurred of Brı́d Fitzpatrick, née Murrin, of Malinbeg, Glencolmcille, and Erith, Kent. She passed away on March 28 at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, Kent.

Beloved wife to Bernard, much loved mother to Paul, Anna (Thomas) and Susan (Tim), missed by all her grandchildren, Joseph, Libby, Moya, Áine, Conal and Gearóid, her sister Mary, her loving cousins Carmel and Geraldine, Mark her nephew and all of her many family and friends.

Her final remains shall be taken to St Columba's Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille, County Donegal on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed at https://mcn.live/Camera/st-columbas-glencolmcille

Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Macmillan Cancer Support. 

Teresa McGeady, Derrybeg

The death has taken place in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair of Teresa 'Tim' Mc Geady, née Boyle, Ard na gCeapairi, Derrybeg.

Predeceased by her husband James, brothers and sisters, she is sadly missed by her son Hugh, daughter Bernadette, daughter-in-law Carmel, son-in-law Cathal, grandchildren Rogan, Ryan, Lorcan and Cian, sister Margaret Mellet and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at her daughter Bernadette's house in Magheraclogher, F92 P2D2, from 10am on Tuesday until rosary time at 8pm. House private to family only on Monday night and on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St Mary's Church, Derrybeg, interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director's Facebook page.

John Wasson, Greencastle and Derry

The peaceful death has taken place of John Wasson, Balleighan East, Greencastle F93 TOA8 and formerly of Derry.

Beloved partner of Nuala, much loved father of Sandra, Jayne and Richard, loving grandfather of Harry and Emma. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers Lowry and Robert, sons-in-law Michael and Simon, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

John's remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin's funeral home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN, on Monday at 7pm going to his home.  Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there at 1.20pm on Wednesday for 2pm Funeral Service in Moville Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Ballybrack Graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the RNLI.

Henry Bradley, Annagry and Killygordon

The death has taken place of Henry Bradley, Annagry East and formerly The Cross Post Office, Killygordon.

Sadly missed by loving wife Mary, sisters Marie and Ann, and brother Michael, sister-in-law Bríd and family, and the extended Bradley family. Henry is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ruby and his brothers James, Eugene and Patsy.

His remains will repose at McGlynn's Funeral Home, Dungloe, on Monday, from 1pm until Rosary at 8pm. Private removal to his home in Annagry East on Tuesday. House strictly private to family only.

Funeral on Wednesday in St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Annagry, at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Dungloe Community Hospital Comfort Fund.

Cecelia Callaghan, Ballybofey

The death has taken place peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, of Cecelia Callaghan, Kinletter, Ballybofey.

Beloved wife of the late Edward and much loved mother of Julia Anna (Byrne), Imelda (Ryan) Edwina (Gilbert), cherished sister of Sean, and the late, Fr.Colm, Hugo, Mollie, Eugene, Kate, Julianna, Peadar and Imelda. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by her daughters, brother, grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and friends.

Family friends and neighbours are welcome at her home from 6pm until 9pm on Monday and Tuesday. Family time at all other times and on the morning of the funeral please. T

Eileen Boyce, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Eileen Boyce, née Mc Daid, Rough Park, Woodlands, Letterkenny, F92 E12D, and formerly The Half Way House, Ballymaleel, Letterkenny. She died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, Joe and Anne, John and Bridget, Rosaleen, Brendan and Rosaleen, Kevin and Annabella, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Seamus, sisters-in-law Brid and Betty (Dublin), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Jack, sister Betty and brothers Pat and Dan.

Her remains are reposing at her home. Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Gortlee, Letterkenny. Burial will take place afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Mass can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657/streams

John Byrne, Ballybofey

The death has occurred, at Letterkenny University Hospital, of John Byrne, Carrickmagrath, Ballybofey, F93YR63.

Beloved husband of the late Eileen and much loved father of Stephen (Karin), Carl (Michelle), Mary Sue (Brendan), Margaret (Paddy) and Eimear, cherished brother of Ellen, Rose, Kathleen, Michael and the late, Laurence and Brigid. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by his sons, daughters, brother, sisters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence with Rosary each night at 9pm. Family time from 10pm to 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.

Dessie Laughlin, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Dessie Laughlin, 24 Muckish Avenue, Letterkenny F92 F38R.

Deeply missed by his loving son Brendan and partner Amanda (Aberdeen), daughter Tracey (Abroath), grandchildren Connell, Jordan, Jade, Paige, Steph, Jack and Daniel, great-grandchildren Chas, Kensey and Bob, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours in Scotland and Letterkenny. Dessie is predeceased by his brothers Noel, Paddy, Damian and Jim, sisters Noeleen Lowe and Mausheen Elliott and his parents Tony and Bridie.

Reposal of Dessie’s remains continues at his late residence on Monday from 1pm until 10pm with Rosary at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Tuesday at 10.30am going to St Eunan’s Cathedral for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment  will take place afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny. 

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Medical 3 Ward, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

James Gallagher, Dublin and Ardara

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Gallagher late of Finglas and Iona Villas, Glasnevin  fandormerly Ardara.

Jim will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten by his beloved wife Mai, loving daughters Sinéad and Suzanne, sons Danny and Eamon, grandchildren Lauren, Emily, Libby, Haley, Elliott, Holly and Josh, sisters Mary, Brid and Annie, brothers Donal and Paddy, sons-in-law John and Anto, daughters-in-law Tracy and Jana, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains will repose in Massey Bros Funeral Home, Main St, Finglas, D11ET7P, on Monday from 3pm to 5pm.

Removal on Tuesday morning to St Canice’s Church, Finglas Village, arriving at 9.50am for Requiem Mass at 10am, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium.

Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to a charity of your choice.
