Death notices for Donegal on Saturday morning
The following deaths have taken place:
- Fintan Cullen, Dublin and Raphoe
- Liam Breslin, Offaly and Donegal Town
- Nora McBrearty, St Johnston and Glenties
- Brendan Holmes, Newtowncunningham
Fintan Cullen, Dublin and Raphoe
The sudden death has occurred of Fintan Cullen, Guesthouse End, Raphoe, and formerly Swords, Dublin.
He is sadly, missed by his brothers and sister Alan, Liam and Marian and long-time friend Tony, deeply regretted by his nieces and nephew and all his extended family and friends.
Fintan's remains will be reposing at Kelly’s Funeral home, Oakfield, Raphoe, F93 KP0N on Saturday from 5pm to 7pm.
Funeral cortege leaving Kelly’s Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 2pm travelling to Rock's Funeral Home, Swords for cremation later.
Liam Breslin, Offaly and Donegal Town
The death has taken place of Liam Breslin, Athlone Road, Ferbane, Offaly and native of Donegal Town. He died peacefully sunnounded by his family, in the loving care of the staff at Tullamore Regional Hospital.
Liam is predeceased by his beloved parents Dominic and Bridget, brothers Dom and Michael and sisters Marion and Una. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Teresa, and family, Dom, Liam, John, Ann, Helen, Susan and Mark, his 14 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Nora McBrearty, St Johnston and Glenties
The death has occurred at home of Nora McBrearty, née McDermott, Momeen, St Johnston formerly Stralinchey, Glenties.
Nora will be lovingly missed by her sons and daughters Paul (Rhoda), Joanne, Caroline (Aaron), Martin (Graínne) and John (Roisin), her beloved grandchildren Daniel, Riain, Odhran, Niall, Jamie, Oskar, Jordan, Adele, Saoirse, and Freya. Nora will be missed by her carer Wendy McBean and all her extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas.
Reposal of Nora's remains continues at her late residence on Saturday from 10am until removal at 8pm going to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 8.30pm to repose overnight.
Requiem Mass is on Sunday at 11am in St Baithin’s Church with burial afterwards in St Columba’s Church graveyard, Drumoghill.

Brendan Holmes, Newtowncunningham
The death has occurred in Lettekenny University Hospital of Brendan Holmes, Bogay, Newtowncunningham.
Brendan will be lovingly missed by his wife Geraldine, his children Garrett, Killian, Lorraine, Yvonne, Tanya, Yvonne and Majella, daughters-in-law, and sons-in-law, his 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters Sammy, Donal, Willie, Con, Irene and Una, godchildren and all his extended family and friends. Brendan was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Agnes and sister Máire.
His remains are reposing at his late residence with Rosary at 8pm. Family time from 10pm to 11am.
Funeral cortege leaving his late residence on Saturday at 11.20am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 12 noon Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed at www.newtownkilleaparish.com.
