Sandy Wilkie, Milford

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Sandy Wilkie, Tirhomin, Milford, F92 F752, formerly Drumatoland, St Johnston.

Reposing at his home from 4pm Friday, March 15. Funeral Mass on Sunday, March 17, at 11am in St Peter’s Church, Milford. Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Funeral Mass can be viewed on Church Services TV St Peter’s Church Milford

Those attending the wake between the hours of 6pm and 10pm should park at Fairytales Daycare car park, F92 RK72, and a bus will be provided from there.

Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Peggy Coyle, Derrybeg and Galway 

The sudden death has taken place, at her home, in Carrickboyle, Derrybeg, of Peggy Coyle (née Joyce), originally of Ballybrone, Turloughmore, County Galway.

Predeceased by her husband Padraig Coyle, parents Tom and Julia, sisters Mary, Theresa and Ciss, and brothers Tim and Tommy. Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Caroline, Sheila and Diane, son Terence, sons-in-law James and Seán, sister Siobhan, brothers Oliver, Vincent, John and Gerry, grandchildren Ciaran, Evelyn, Orfhlaith, Katelyn, Jonathan, Pauric and Allanah and extended family andfriends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg, F92 DN4X, on Thursday, March 14, from 3pm until Rosary time at 8pm. Removal afterwards to the family home in Carrickboyle. House private to immediate family only.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Derrybeg, F92 H289, followed by interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director's Facebook page.

Charlie Doherty, Dooey and Hertshire

The death has occurred of Charlie Doherty, 23 Mount Pleasant, Cockfosters, Hertshire, England and formerly of Dooey. He died peacefully, on February 23 surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Peggy, father to Anthony, Declan and David and adored grandad to Leanne. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, their partners Annabel and Julie, granddaughter, sisters Margaret, Nora and Moire, brothers Michael and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 20 at 12 noon in The Church of the Nativity, Kilmilkin, H91 HX64 with burial afterwards to Brennane Cemetery, Maam.

Michael Mc Garvey, Ramelton

The death has taken place of Michael McGarvey, Bridgend, Ramelton, F92 K8W2. He passed away peacefully in Donegal Hospice.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen, family Kieran and Elaine, Declan and Lorraine, Michelle and PJ, grandchildren Aleah, Ella, Jake, Dara and Hannah, brothers Anthony, James and Bernard, sisters Bridget Sterritt and Geraldine Rossley, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at his home from 6pm on Thursday. Family time from 11pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral mass on Saturday at 10am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed at www.churchservices.tv/ramelton

Jacinta Spollen, Bundoran

The death has takenplace of Jacinta Spollen, 30 Silverhill, West End, Bundoran. She passed away peacefully in the care of all at Sligo University Hospital.

Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her loving family and friends.

House strictly private. 

Her remains will repose at Breslin's Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Saturday morning from 10am followed by a Service in the Funeral Home at 10.30am. Removal at 11am to arrive at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan for Cremation Service at 1pm.

John Doherty, Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred in Altnagalvin Hospital of John Doherty, St Anne’s Moyle Road, Newtowncunningham formerly Sheriffs Mountain, Glenowen.

John will be lovingly missed by his wife Agnes, son Kieran, daughters Jacinta Hegarty and Oonagh McDermott, daughter-in-law Marlena and son-in-law Keith and Martin and Grandson Reuben, brothers and sisters Nicki, Michael, Phylis and Mary and all his extended family and friends. John was predeceased by his brothers and sister James, Charlie, Kevin and Eileen.

His remains will be reposing at his late residence on Thursday from 11am to 8.30pm finishing with Rosary. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from his late residence, St Anne’s, Moyle Road, on Friday morning at 10.20am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 11am requiem mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on www.newtownkilleaparish.com

Paddy Gill, Cockhill

The death has occurred of Paddy Gill, 2 St Mary’s Park, Cockhill, in Donegal Hospice.

Father of James, Mark and Sharon, brother of Liam, Hughie and Mary, he is sadly missed by Marie and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Buncrana on Thursday from 4pm until removal at 7pm to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass there on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Carmel Mullally-Powers, Letterkenny and USA

The death has occurred of Carmel Mullally-Powers Letterkenny and St Charles, Illinois, USA on March 9, 2024. 

Carmel was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary (Molly) Mullally, and sisters Attracta, Brighid (Mackey), Clare (Doherty, Canada), Teresa (Ireland), and brother, Thomas (London).

Survivors include, her brother, Stephen, (Ireland), many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ireland and Canada, especially Kevin Doherty (Canada) & Michael Mackey (Wexford, Ireland); brother-in-law, Robert Powers (Susan); sisters-in-law, Katherine (Michael) Carlson, Ann (Tom) Turrin, & Mary (Kevin) Donovan; stepson, Steven Powers III.

A memorial mass will be held at 10.30am on Friday, March 22 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 East Main Street, St Charles. Interment of remains will follow at Prairie Cemetery, St Charles. Arrangements handled by Yurs Funeral Home.

Ellen Breen, Meath and Glenkeen

The death has occurred of Ellen Breen (née McGonigle), Kilcloon, Meath and formerly of Glenkeen. She died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and the loving staff of St Francis Hospice Blanchardstown. 

Ellen is deeply regretted by her loving husband Jeremiah, daughter Roisin, sons Jerry, Seamus and Sean, son-in-law Thomas, daughters-in-law Tracy, Jan and Marie, cherished grandchildren Ashley, Thomas, Aoife, Daniel and Amy and great-grandchild Jesse, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal on Thursday to Glenkeen, reposing there from 6pm. 

Removal on Friday morning to St Mary's Church, Bocan, Culdaff, arriving for Requiem Mass 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. 

Donations, if desired, to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.
