Maighréad Uí Dochartaigh, Derrybeg
The peaceful passing has occurred of Maighréad Uí Dochartaigh (Charlie) of Stranacorkra, Derrybeg, Gweedore. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie and son Columba. Maighréad will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her sons and daughters Anne, Margaret, Maureen, Carmel, Charles, Sean, Peter, Angela, Michael, Owen and Nora. Along with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her neighbours and friends.
Her remains will be respectfully received at Roartys Chapel of Rest, Derrybeg, on Thursday, February 22 from 3.30pm until the removal to her daughter Margaret's home in Falcarragh (F92 XV02) at 8pm. The family kindly requests privacy from 10pm to 10am on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24, as well as on the morning of the funeral. Funeral Mass arrangements to be announced.
Sandy Michie, London and Glenfin
The death has taken place in London of Sandy Michie. Husband of Colm Gallagher, Letterbrick, Glenfin.
Celebration of life Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin at 3pm on Saturday, February 24. Interment afterwards in Cill Mhuire Cemetery.
Michael Geary, Letterkenny
The death has taken place of Michael Geary, Lisnenan, Letterkenny. Pre-deceased by his loving parents John and Agnes Geary.
Sadly missed by his ex-wife Grainne, daughter Leah, son-in-law Michael and grandchildren Jayden, Ashton, Mila and Blake, his sister Jacqueline Blake and Husband Brian Blake and niece Yenthi, brother Sean and nephew Evan.
Funeral Mass in St Eunan's Cathedral at 1pm Thursday, February 22 with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
Andy Coyle, Gortahork
The peaceful death has taken place in Falcarragh Community Hospital of Andy Coyle Meencarrick, Gortahork F92 A622 . Predeceased by his parents Kate and Daniel, his brother William, his nephew Danny. Survived by his sisters Mary and Breid, his brother Jimmy, nieces, nephews and a circle of family and friends. Reposing his home in Meencarrick. Rosary both nights at 8.00pm. House private after Rosary till 10am. Funeral from there on Friday, February 23 for 11am requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork F92 DP86 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery. Bernard Francis Doherty, Malin Head
The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Bernard Francis Doherty, Slievebawn, Malin Head, F93 Y2P4.
Bernard’s remains are reposing at his home. Family time please from 11pm to 11am.
Funeral Mass will take place tomorrow Friday at 12noon in the Star of the Sea Church, Malin Head followed by burial in Lagg Cemetery, Malin. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the Malin Head Community Facebook Page. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Diabetes Ireland C/O Any Family Member.
David Lavery, Burnfoot
The death has occurred at Altnagelvin Hospital of David Lavery, Dundrain, Burnfoot.
Beloved husband of Marie, much loved father of Sarah, Con, Charlie and Jack and dear brother of Anne, Fiona, Bridget, Georgia, Rosaleen, Dennis, Johnny and Paul.
Predeceased by his parents Con and Mary, Buncrana and his brother Con.
Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his loving wife, daughter, sons, sisters, brothers, extended family and friends.
David’s remains will be reposing at his home from 11am on Thursday, February 22. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am and on the morning of the funeral.
Removal from there on Saturday, February 24 at 10.15am to St Aengus’ Church, Burt for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in Burt Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed here. Family flowers only please.
Maureen O’Brien, Meenreagh and Rathmullan
The peaceful death has occurred of Maureen (Maisie) O’Brien (née Mortimer), Meenreagh and formerly Glenalla, Rathmullan, Donegal. Dearly loved wife of Patrick.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, son, daughters, relatives and friends.
Her remains will be received into St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan on Sunday at 6.00pm to repose until Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjacent cemetery.

Bernadette Porter, Crossroads
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Bernadette (Bernie) Porter, nee Ewing, 478 The Curragh, Crossroads, Killygordon (F93 E1V3).
Beloved wife of the late Hugo, and much loved mother of John, Michelle, Linda, Stephen, David, and Derek.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Remains reposing at her late residence from 6pm on Thursday, February 22.
Funeral leaving from her late residence on Saturday, February 24 at 10.30 am for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church Crossroads, Killygordon at 11am.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Liam Cassidy, Kildare and Kilmacrennan
The death has occurred of Liam Cassidy, Celbridge, Kildare and formerly of Kilmacrennan. February 18, 2024 peacefully but suddenly at home.
Beloved husband of Anne née Cullen and dear devoted father of Lisa, Aoife and Clare. Predeceased by his sister Margaret. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, brothers Vincent, Roger and Martin, sisters Ann, Bridget and Christina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence on Thursday, February 22 between 3 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Friday morning (February 23) to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am followed by burial in Barntown Cemetery, Co. Wexford. Margaret (Greta) Cole, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham
The peaceful death has occurred of Margaret (Greta) Cole, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham, F92CK88 in the wonderful care of St Eunan’s Nursing Home Letterkenny, surrounded by her loving family.
Greta is predeceased by her beloved husband John and daughter Sally Devir also her son-in-law Jim McKnight, Johns partner Eileen McLaughlin and two granddaughters Natasha Melaugh and Nicole McLaughlin. Greta will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Josie Cole, Margaret Steele (Ernie), Mary McKnight, Geraldine Gallagher (Willie), Heather Melaugh (Paddy) her son John Cole and son-in-law John Devir, also her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Her remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, February 22 at 1.15pm for 2pm funeral service in Newtoncunningham Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard. Family time please on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only donations in lieu to St Eunan’s Nursing Home comfort fund care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.
Chris Toye, Lower Mount Marian, Milford
The death has occurred of Chris Toye, Lower Mount Marian, Milford. Deeply regretted by his loving mother Kate and John, son Jack, brother William, sisters Kate, Lauralee and Rosalind, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father Paddy and brother Mark.
Reposing at the residence of his mother Kate Toye, 11 Grey Rock, Milford. House private to family and close friends.

Edwin Patton, Knock, Ballybofey
The death has occurred, at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Edwin Patton, Knock, Ballybofey, F93 D43F. Beloved husband of Margaret and much loved father to Anne (Damian), Edwin (Christina), Martin (Michaela), Kevin (Rachel) and the late Theresa, dearly loved grandfather to Jason, Ryan, Jack, Jamie, Joey and Emily, cherished brother of John, Margaret, Marion, Kathleen, Olive, Jean and Elizabeth. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, brother, sisters, grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.
