Sheila Mc Fadden, Gweedore

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Sheila Mc Fadden, 5 Áras Bhríde, Gweedore, originally from Lunniagh, Derrybeg.

Predeceased by her husband Eddie, brothers, Willie and Tom Coll and sister Anna Mc Fadden.

Sadly missed by her daughters; Rebecca & Marian, sons; John & Eugene, sisters; Rosie Ferry (Lunniagh) & Máire Doohan (Curransport), brother Hughie Coll (Dublin), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Deposing at her daughter Rebecca's home in Ray, Falcarragh, (F92 C3K6). Rosary at 9.30pm and on Friday night at 9pm. House private after rosary until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Derrybeg, on Saturday, July 8, at 11am, with burial afterwards in Cnoc Fola Cemetery.

John Gill, Cork and Buncrana

The death has occurred of John Gill, Moore's Place, Cobh, Cork and Buncrana. Much-loved husband of the late Hancy (nee Sheehan) & much-loved father of Martin, Kathleen, Kieran, Ken & the late Shaun. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter, sons, daughter-in-law Margaret, Kieran’s partner Deirdre, Kathleen’s partner Tadgh, his grandchildren Sarah, Conor, Shauna, Abby, Amy, Maia, Anita & Mikey, brothers-in-law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, his faithful dog & friend Benji & a wide circle of friends.

John will repose at the home of his son at Tay Road Cobh P24E362 on Saturday, July 8 from 4pm to 6pm and on Sunday, July 9 from 4pm with prayers at 6pm. Reception into St. Colman’s Cathedral on Monday, July 10 at 10.45am for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial in St. Colman’s Cemetery.

Margaret Cahill, Rathmullan

The death has occurred of Margaret Cahill formerly of Rathmullan. Margaret passed away peacefully at her home in Kenmare. Predeceased by her beloved husband Dan, she will be sadly missed by her sons Daniel, Patrick, Cillian, Kevin and Cormac, her adoring grandchildren Daniel, Donal, Ada, Jim, Ronan and Cillian, daughters-in-law Anne-Marie, Catherine, Karina, Deirdre and Rose, sisters Mary, Susan and Eileen and brothers William, Patsy, Thomas and John, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Finnegan's Funeral Home, Kenmare on Friday, July 7 from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm

Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, Kenmare at 10.30am on Saturday, July 8 which will be live-streamed here, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kenmare. House private please.

 

Michael Daly, Laois and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Michael Daly, Rathmoyle, Abbeyleix, Laois and Ballyshannon. He passed away in his 79th year. Predeceased by his infant son Michael, his parents James and Sarah (nee Likely). Deeply regretted by his heartbroken partner Anna,  his daughters Sandra, Lynda, Tracey, Pamela and his son Gerard, their mother Sally and his grandchildren and great grandchild, his brothers Pat and Gerard his sisters Anne and Breedge, extended family, neighbours, relatives and a very large circle of friends and his beloved dog Jack.

Reposing at his home 1 Rathmoyle Road, Abbeyleix on Saturday, July 8, from 2pm, with Rosary at 8pm. Removal from his home on Sunday at 10.30am to the Church of  The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 11am Requiem Mass. Cremation service will take place on Monday at 12 noon in Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin. The Mass can be viewed here.

Tom Clark, Boharna and Chorley, England

The death has taken place at Buncrana Nursing Unit of Tom Clark, formerly Saint Columcille Village, Boharna, and Chorley England.
 
Funeral leaving from the Saint Columcille village oratory on Friday, July 7, at 10.30am, going to St Mary’s Church Clonmany, for requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
 
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Saint Columbcille village, and Buncrana nursing unit, Co any family member or Comiskey Funeral Directors.

Liam Matthew Kelly, New Hampshire and Letterkenny

Liam Matthew Kelly of Dublin, New Hampshire, USA and formerly of 82 Lower Main Street, Letterkenny, passed away peacefully in his 89th year on July 1.

Liam is pre-deceased by his parents, Kathleen and Willie John, his sisters Betty and Bridget and his brothers John and Frank. He is survived by his beloved wife Lesley Loke, his sister Mary Cook (Letterkenny), brother Michael Kelly (Multyfarnham) and his wife Sheila, brother Phonsie Kelly (London) and his wife Margaret.

He is also survived by his former spouse, Cynthia Dryden-Kelly, their daughter Ruadh Kelly and her husband Ross Condit and daughter Elizabeth Kelly-Montgomery, also their son Liam Kelly and wife Tal and sons Ben and Ari. Also dear to him were in-laws, nieces, nephews cousins and friends, both here and gone before, who enriched his life immeasurably.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7 from 10am to 11am at Divine Mercy Parish, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am with the Reverend Michael Taylor as Celebrant.

A private burial will be held at a later time.

Maura Beirne, Dublin and Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Maura Beirne (O'Beirne), St Brendan's Drive, Coolock, Dublin and Stranorlar, unexpectedly and peacefully at home in her 94th year.

Beloved sister of Sr Elizabeth (Lily), Sr Sinead, Sr Eileen, Peg, Vincent and Seamus, former teacher, vice-principal and principal of Our Lady of Consolation (Sacred Heart) National School, Donnycarney where she worked throughout her career,
Predeceased by her father Jim and her mother Margaret Maud of Castleplunket, Co Roscommon.

Maura will be dearly missed by her sisters and brothers, sister-in-law Eithne, nephews Ronan, Darren, Eoin, Colin, Paul, Dara, and Themis, her adored and caring niece-in-law Sinead, niece Orna, nieces-in-law, her cousins, extended family, friends and her very kind neighbours.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Thursday evening, July 6 with family in attendance from 5pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday morning, July 7 at 11am in St Brendan’s Church, Coolock Village. Funeral thereafter to Balgriffin Cemetery.


Paddy Kennedy, Meath and Carrick

The death has occurred of Paddy Kennedy, Ealing, London, Dunshaughlin, Co Meath and formerly of Meenaneary. He passed away peacefully after a short illness in London, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Catherine, and much-loved father to Sinéad, Caitríona and Niamh and their partners Joe, Cathal and Paul. Paddy will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers Gerry, Teague, Noel, Aidan and Jimmy, his sisters Máire, Cáit, Ann and Martina, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and a large circle, neighbours and friends at home and abroad.

Fr Carlo Centra, Fahan

The peaceful death has occurred on Saturday, July 1 at Letterkenny University Hospital of Fr Carlo Centra, The Shieling, Church Brae, Fahan.

Former parish priest of St Gregory Barbarigo, Wyndford, Archdiocese of Glasgow. Much-loved son of the late Antonio and Leonilde, Main Street, Buncrana and dear brother of the late Lena (McConnell), Rosina (Farren), Giacoma, Alfonso, Patricia (Kelly) and Angelo. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, extended family members and many friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence. Removal from there on Thursday, July 6 at 2pm going to St Mary's Church, Cockhill (F93 F9VE) arriving at 3pm for Prayers of Reception.

Requiem Mass Friday, July 7, at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed at: www.churchservices.tv/cockhill

Margaret Mary Dolan, Coventry and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Margaret Mary Dolan, Coventry, U.K. and formally of East Rock, Ballyshannon. She passed away peacefully at the Brandon House Nursing home, Coventry.

Margaret Mary will be sadly missed by her sister Kathleen and good friend Patrick Byrne.
Funeral to arrive on Friday at St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 10am with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Brandon House Nursing Home, Coventry c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon.
