Death notices for Donegal on Monday evening

The following deaths have occurred:

- Paddy John Gibbons, Kerrykeel

- Grace McShane, Clonmany 

- Colm Grant, Burnfoot

- Charles Timoney, Luton and Ballintra

- Sadie McGee, Middle Dore 

Paddy John Gibbons, Kerrykeel

The death has occurred peacefully at his home, of Paddy John Gibbons, Carren, Kerrykeel, F92 WY46. 

Deeply regretted by his brothers, Daniel, Edward, Willie and Michael, sister Margaret, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his home from 6pm on Monday. Rosary each night at 9pm. Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Massmount with burial afterwards in Massmount Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on St Mary’s Fanavolty & St Columba’s Massmount Facebook page.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired, to Donegal Hospice, c/o any family member or Patrick Sweeney Funeral Directors.

Grace McShane, Clonmany 

The peaceful death has taken place at Donegal Hospice of Grace McShane née Doherty (Jaki) Dunaff, Urris, Clonmany.

Beloved wife of Shane, loving mother of Jack, Shane, Grace and the late Mark, loving daughter of Jack and Hannah, sister to Joe, Rodger, Hannah, Jackie and Mary.

Her remains will repose at her home F93 YKK7. House private please from 10pm to 10am. On the morning of the funeral, family and friends only please. 

Funeral leaving from her home on Wednesday at 10.15am, going to St Michael's Church, Urris, for Requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.churchservices.t/stmichaelurris

Colm Grant, Burnfoot

The sudden death has occurred of Colm Grant, 17 The Cottages, Burnfoot.

Predeceased by his wife Evelyn. Much loved father of Fergal, Seamus, Aisling, Kevin, Sinéad, Conor, Rory, Aoife and Dara. Dear brother of Tillie, Margaret, Bernadette, Mickey, the late Mary Ann, Willie, Johnny and Paddy. Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchild, brother, sisters, his extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at his home. Family time please from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.15am to St Aengus' Church, Burt for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in Burt Cemetery. Colm's requiem Mass can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/burt

Charles Timoney, Luton and Ballintra

The death has occurred of Charles (Charlie) Timoney, Luton, England and formerly Drumholme, Ballintra.

Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Lizzie, and brothers, Patrick, Edward, William and Philip. Sadly missed by his partner, Monica, daughters Donna (Gavin), Sharlene (Lorcan), Roisin (Aran), Caeleigh, sons, Edward (Judith), Ciaran (Mary), Paul (Avril), Cathal (Lara), Joe (Shauna) and Cian.

Much loved by his grandchildren Jack, Aaron, Dylan, Jamie, Éireann, Liam, Abbie, Rois, Tiegan, Micheala, Paddy, Saoírse, Tiernan, his brother, sisters and extended family.

Charles will be taken home to Ballintra for burial after Mass in Luton, with further funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Sadie McGee, Middle Dore

The death has taken place of Sadie McGee, Glenrothes, Bun na Leaca and Middle Dore.

She passed away very peacefully in hospital in Scotland on June 5 aged 94, with family by her side.

Requiem Mass will take place at St Paul’s, Glenrothes on Tuesday, June 27 at 10am, followed by interment in St Drostan’s at 11am, followed by a meal at Balgeddie House at 12 noon. Family flowers only, please.
