Deaths in Donegal - Monday evening, June 5

The following deaths have occurred:

Gerry Collum, Meenaniller, Derrybeg formerly of Ardsbeg, Gorthork

Gerard O’Connor, Hollymount, Carndonagh

Barry Gough, 8 Station Road, Ballyshannon

Catherine (Kathleen) Glackin (née Griffin), Lower Main Street, Mountcharles

Terry Tinney, London and Castlefinn

Gerry Collum, Meenaniller, Derrybeg

The death has occurred of Gerry Collum, Meenaniller, Derrybeg. He passed away at his home at 5 Ailt Aoibhinn, Meenaniller, Derrybeg. He was originally from Ardsbeg, Gortahork.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Madge, daughter Marie, sons Éamonn and Gearóid, son-in-law Leonard, daughters-in-law Laura and Jenny, grandchildren Callum and Senan and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his son James beag and his brothers and sisters. His remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) tomorrow, Tuesday, from 12 noon until rosary time at 8pm. Removal afterwards to the family home. House private on Wednesday, please.

Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Derrybeg, on Thursday, June 8, at 11am, with burial afterwards in Cnoc Fola Cemetery.

Gerard O’Connor, Hollymount, Carndonagh

The death has taken place at Hillcrest House Nursing Home Letterkenny of Gerard O’Connor, Hollymount, Carndonagh.

Removal from the Eternal Light Funeral Home Mountain Top Letterkenny  Letterkenny today, Monday, at 3pm going to his brother's residence, Andy O’Connor, in Hollmount Carndonagh.

Funeral leaving there on Wednesday at 10.15am going to church of scared heart Carndonagh for Requiem Mass at 11am Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Barry Gough, 8 Station Road, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Barry Gough, 8 Station Road, Ballyshannon. He passed away peacefully at Sligo University Hospital. Beloved husband of Laura, much loved father of Seamus (Honang Ngoc Thao My) Siobhan, brother Baden.

Predeceased by his younger brother Boyd, relatives and friends.

Private family cremation will take place at Lakeland's Crematorium Cavan at a later date. Family Home Private at all times.

No flowers, by request.

Catherine (Kathleen) Glackin (née Griffin), Lower Main Street, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kathleen) Glackin (née Griffin), Lower Main Street, Mountcharles.

She passed away peacefully at Swords Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Alex. Sadly missed by her daughter Marietta ,son-in-law Keld, grandsons Finn, Seán, Thor and Gerard, nieces , nephews, cousins , family and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her late residence on Monday, June 5 from 2pm until 9pm.

Removal from there on Tuesday, June 6, going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Terry Tinney, London and Castlefinn 

The death has occurred of Terry Tinney, London and Castlefinn. He passed away peacefully early on Saturday morning, May 27 in London, England. 

Predeceased by Christy and Seamus, Terry will be sorely and deeply missed by his wife Jean, children, Dean, Jason and Kirsty, grandchildren, Orla, Erin, Trafford and Winter, brothers, Anthony and Laurence, sister in-laws, Doreen and Sylvia, son and daughter in-laws, Daniel and Rachel and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

His Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, June 23 at 10am, in St Aidan’s Catholic Church in East Acton, London. Followed by burial at Mortlake Cemetery.
