The following deaths have occurred:

- Feilimí (Philip) Mac Pháidín (Mc Fadden), Carrickmccafferty, Derrybeg

- Edward (Ned) Boyce, Pier Road, Downings

John Hamilton, 1 Ballyboe Glencar, Letterkenny

The death has occurred in the Donegal Hospice of John Hamilton, 20 Ballymacool Terrace, Letterkenny, F92 P8N2 and formerly of Trentaghboy, Drumkeen. Remains reposing at 1 Ballyboe, Glencar.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 17, at 11am in St. Eunan's Cathedral, Letterkenny https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny with cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at a later date. Family time from 11am to 11pm please. All enquiries to Con McDaid Funeral Director.


Mary McGeehan, Meenatinney, Fintown

The death has occurred in Dungloe District Hospital of Mary McGeehan, Meenatinney, Fintown, F94 E2H2. Mary was predeceased by her husband Neil, and sons Seamus and Peadar.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughters, Grainne and Breid, and son Neil, grandson Joseph, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Remains will repose at her home. Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday, May 17, in St Colmcille’s Chapel, Fintown, with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Catherine Hepburn (née Kennedy), Mill Street, Ballindrait

The death has taken place at her home of Catherine Hepburn (née Kennedy), Mill Street, Ballindrait.

Beloved wife of Andrew, much-loved mother of Stephen and Raymond, and dearly loved grandmother of Lisa, Lauren, Gemma, Aaron and Andrew.

Reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, May 17, at 10.25am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Murlog at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family circle. Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

Bridget Bonar, Callancor, Drumkeen

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Bridget (Bisean) Bonar (née Friel) Callancor, Drumkeen (F93 V3H1) and formerly Glenswilly.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Patrick, daughters, Annemarie and husband Drew Russell, Geraldine and Edward McGlynn and son PJ, grandchildren Andrew, Alanna and Liam, brothers Pat and Brian Friel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 16, at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Drumkeen, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bonar's Quarry is closed until further notice.


Sean McDaid, Cork and Ballintra

The death has taken place of Sean McDaid, Grancore North, Clonakilty, Cork and Ballintra.

He passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Skibbereen Residential Care Centre. Beloved husband of the late Ann (née Campbell), loving father of Majella, Fiona and Anthony, and brother of the late PJ, Seamus, Margaret and Sally.

Sadly missed by his loving family, grandsons Ben, Jamie, Ronan and Enda, son-in-law Richard, daughter-in-law Michiko, sister June, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reception into the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty on Tuesday, May 16 at 11.20am followed by Requiem Mass at 11.30am. This will be live-streamed via www.clonakiltyparish.ie/live

Funeral afterwards to St Mary’s Cemetery, Clonakilty. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired to Alzheimer’s Ireland.


Rose McCann, (née McKinney), James’s Street, Moville

The death has taken place at her home of Rose McCann (née McKinney, Bootagh, Lecamy), James’s Street, Moville.

Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 16 at 11am in St. Pius X Church, Moville followed by burial in Ballinacrae cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, in lieu, to the Moville Day Centre, Glencrow, Moville c/o any family member. Funeral Mass can be viewed live at: www.movilleparish.com


Margaret Haughey, (née Molloy), Churchtown, Kilcar

The peaceful death has occurred of Margaret Molloy Haughey, Churchtown, Kilcar, surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her loving husband Paddy, her sister Mary, brothers Adrian, Peter, Danny and Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and all her extended family, friends and neighbours.

House private on morning of the funeral. Removal from there to St Cartha's Church for funeral Mass at 11am on Tuesday, May 16.


Neil Murphy, Dublin and Lifford

The death has occurred of Neil Murphy, Swords, Co Dublin and formerly of Lifford. Beloved son of the late Anthony and brother of the late Deirdre and Fiona.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Eimear, (nee Coulter), daughters Lauren and Rachel, sons Dylan and Karl, mother Josephine, Lauren's partner Craig, Rachel's partner John, sisters Nola, Áine, Orlagh and Emer, brother Fergal, mother-in-law Margaret, brothers-in-law Jack, Dermot and Brian, sisters-in-law Deirdre, Fiona, Colette and Debbie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his late residence on Tuesday, May 16 evening from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday, May 17, to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide arriving for 10am Mass followed by funeral to Balgriffin New Extension Cemetery. Feilimí (Philip) Mac Pháidín (Mc Fadden), Carrickmccafferty, Derrybeg

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Feilimí (Philip) Mac Pháidín (Mc Fadden), Carrickmccafferty, Derrybeg.

Predeceased by his brothers; Eamon, Danny, Joe, Colm, Charlie and Paddy and sisters Maire and Kitty.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, sons; Eamon, Derek and Ciarán, daughters; Marie, Anita and Sharon, daughters-in-law Liz and Brídann, son-in-law Charlie, grandchildren; Aisling, Shauna, Neasa, Feilim, Muireann, Senán, Caoimhe, Cathal, Fodhlá, Caoilte and Katelyn, brother Seán, sister Maggie and extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 16 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Derrybeg, with burial afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Edward (Ned) Boyce, Pier Road, Downings

The death has taken place of Edward (Ned) Boyce formerly of Pier Road, Downings.

Edward left Donegal in the 1940s and worked on the Hydro Dams in Scotland, Australia and the UK. He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren and all his family and friends in Ireland and the UK.

The funeral will take place at St Sebastian and St Pancras Church, Diocese of Westminster, London in the coming weeks.
