Deaths in Donegal - Monday evening, May 8

The following deaths have occurred:

Edward (Ned) Boyce, Downings

Brid Maguire, née Callaghan, Coolyslin, Castlefin

Cormac Kerrigan, Keady, Muff

Kevin Quirke 3 St Mary’s Road, Buncrana

Mary Gallogley, née McCloy, Ballyshannon

Edward (Ned) Boyce, Downings

The death of Edward (Ned) Boyce has taken place of formerly of Pier Road, Downings. Edward left Donegal in the 1940’s and worked on the Hydro Dams in Scotland, Australia and the UK.
 
He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren and all his family and friends in Ireland and the UK.
 
Funeral will take place at St. Sebastian and St. Pancras  Church, Diocese of Westminster, London in the coming weeks.

Brid Maguire, née Callaghan, Coolyslin, Castlefin

The death has occurred at her late residence of Brid Maguire, née Callaghan, Coolyslin, Castlefin, F93 E798.

Predeceased by her father and mother, Thomas and Bridget Callaghan. Beloved wife of Plunkett and much loved mother of Trent (Monica), Noelle, (Anthony), Lawrence, (Tracey), Belinda (Paul) cherished sister of Patsy, Rosie, Charlie, Maureen, Thomas, and Seamus, dearly loved grandmother of Kevin, Rebecca, Lucia, Sean, Laura, Sarah, Oliver, Eve, Beth, and Cillian.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving, husband, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, sons-in -law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving her late residence on Wednesday, May 10, at 11.15am for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Castlefin at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via https://www.facebook.com/urneycastlefinnparish/ .

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, directly to the Donegal Hospice at https://www.idonate.ie/cause/donegalhospice , or any family member.

Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the  morning of the funeral.

Rosary from 9pm each night.

Cormac Kerrigan, Keady, Muff

The death has taken place of Cormac Kerrigan, Keady, Muff. Family home strictly private.

Cormac’s remains will repose in St. Patrick’s Church, Iskeheen, Muff today Monday from 6pm to 9pm where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Cormac’s Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 9, at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Cormac will be sorely missed by his mammy and daddy Fiona and Michael, his sister Luci and his brother Ronan, his family at the Little Angels Special School, Letterkenny.

Deeply regretted by all who knew and loved him. No flowers, donations to the Little Angels School, Letterkenny in memory of Cormac c/o Liam Collins Funeral Director, Culdaff.

Kevin Quirke 3 St Mary’s Road, Buncrana

The death has taken place in Nazareth House, Fahan of Kevin Quirke 3 St Mary’s Road, Buncrana.

Formerly of Boston Spa, England beloved husband of the Late Susan, née Grant, and dear father of Adam, Nick and Dominic sadly missed by his family circle and friends.

Remains reposing at McLaughlin’s funeral home Buncrana from 4pm until 6pm on on Monday, May 8.

Removal from there at 9.30 am on Tuesday, May 9, going to St Mary’s Oratory for 10 o’clock Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Cockhill cemetery.

Mary Gallogley, née McCloy, West Port, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Mary Gallogley, née McCloy, West Port, Ballyshannon, the retired owner of the Barbecue, Bundoran and Gallogley’s Jewellers. She passed away peacefully, at the Northwest Hospice, Sligo, in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her late husband Reggie and son Paul and baby daughter Catherine.

Mary will be forever remembered by her daughter Leslie, son-in-law Declan and her grandchildren, James, Conor, Matthew, Lauren, Darragh, Diarmuid and Charlie. Mary will be sadly missed by Katrina, Deedee, her brother-in-law Fr. Vincent Gallogley of the Franciscan Friary, Rossnowagh and extended family circle and friends.

Reposing at the family home on Tuesday, May 9, from 12 noon to 9pm. Removal on Wednesday, May 10, from her family home at 10.30am to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon, for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon, or any family member.
