- Derek Doyle Jnr, College Street, Ballyshannon

- Val Phillips, Louth and Letterkenny


Bríd Sweeney (née Boyle) Tullymore, Ardara

The death has occurred of Bríd Sweeney (neé Boyle), Tullymore, Ardara on May 1, her birthday, peacefully at her home.

Beloved wife of the late John Joe Sweeney. Predeceased by her brother Sean, and sisters Mary and Philomena. Deeply regretted by her loving family; John (Rosemarie), Neil (Mary), Martin (Grainne), Danny (Margaret), Conal (Marena), Annmarie (Martin), Kevin (Nickie), Anthony (Teresa), Gerard (Dot), Sinéad (Declan). Sadly missed by her 35 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, her brother Paddy, sisters Annie, Winnie and Teresa and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at her residence from 12 noon to 10pm today (Tuesday) and tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3 from 12 noon to 10pm. Funeral from there on Thursday morning, May 4 at 10.30am to The Church of The Holy Family, Ardara, for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael James (Jim) McIntyre, Passage West, Cork / Creevy

The death occurred peacefully at home of Michael James (Jim) McIntyre, Passage West, Cork / Creevy on May 1, and late of the Naval Service and I.F.I. Marina Point.

Beloved husband of Mary (née Kelly) and loving father of John, Shane and Cassandra. Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren, son-in-law Brendan, daughters-in-law Carol and Trudy, brother Michael, sisters Mary, Dolores and Margot, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence, 4 Pembroke Wood (T12RF9T) on Wednesday, May 3 from 4pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, May 4 at 12.30pm in Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Haulbowline, funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium which may be viewed at 2pm at www.islandcrematorium.ie/services/

Tommy Graham, Rathneeny, Laghey

The death has occurred peacefully of Tommy Graham, Rathneeny, Laghey at Aras Mhic Shuibhne, Mullinasole, Laghey.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret, children Johny (Adele), Julie (Martin) and Andrew, grandchildren David, Emma, Tori, Laura and Jamie and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service in Laghey Parish Church on Thursday, May 4, at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if so desired, to Aras Mhic Shuibhne Patient’s Comfort Fund, care of George Irwin Funeral Directors or any family member.

Maura McMenamin (Nana), (Née McNulty), Ardeevin, Barnesmore, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Maura McMenamin (Nana), Ardeevin, Barnesmore, Donegal Town.

She passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital.
Maura’s remains will repose at her late residence in Ardeevin, Barnesmore from 7pm until 9pm Tuesday and from 1pm until 9pm on Wednesday. House Private at all other times, please.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, May 4 at 11am in St Agatha’s Church, Clar, followed by cremation immediately afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Annie McGlynn (née Doherty), Ardeskin, Donegal Town and formerly of Glenfin

The death has occurred of Annie Mc Glynn (née Doherty), Ardeskin, Donegal Town, F94 E0W7 and formally of Taobh na mBan, Glenfin. She passed away peacefully in Donegal Community Hospital.

Loving wife to Paddy, mother to Patrick, (London), Kevin, (Mairead), Joanne, (Des), Jacqueline, (Donegal Town), Peter, (Dublin) and Aiden, (Peru), Granny to Aine, Joseph, Paddy, Brendan, Kathleen, Cormac and Ailbhe, great-granny to James, Emily, Clare and Laura. Sister to Peter Doherty, Glenmore, Glenfin.

Annie’s remains will repose at her late residence in Ardeskin on Tuesday from 4pm until 9pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday, May 3 at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town, with burial immediately afterwards in Clar, Graveyard.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Patient Comfort Fund, Donegal Community Hospital care of any family member or R Faulkner Funeral Director.

Seamus Gillespie, Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Seamus Gillespie, Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey. He passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 70 years of Kathleen, and much-loved father to Jimmy (Denise), Kevin, (Eva), Kathy (Chris), Michael (Catherine), cherished grandfather to Conor, Zara, Holly, Zoe, Molly, Jenny, Mark, and the late David, great grandfather to Ethan, Zach, Ellen and Ted.

Predeceased by his father and mother William and Fanny, and brothers and sisters Madeline, Brigid, Patrick, Peggy, Sean, Mickey, Bill, Anthony, Frances, Annie, Mary, Hughie, and Tommy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law Bernard (Cappry), sister-in-law Mary (New York), extended family and friends.

Funeral leaving from McCool’s Funeral Home, Ballybofey on Tuesday, May 2, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish's Facebook.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired to St. Joseph’s Patients Comfort Fund, care of any family member.

Derek Doyle Jnr, College Street, Ballyshannon

The sudden death has occurred of Derek Doyle Jnr, College Street, Ballyshannon.

Predeceased by his father Derek, and sadly missed by his mother Margaret, his sister Alanna and all extended family and friends.

Reposing at the Sheil Hospital Mortuary, on Wednesday, May 3 from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Thursday from his late residence at 1.30pm to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Ballyshannon, for Funeral Service at 2pm, with Service of Interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Bríd Tennyson (née Gallagher), Glasgow / Baltoney, Gortahork

The death has taken place in Southern General Hospital Glasgow, of Bríd (Hughie John) Tennyson (née Gallagher), Glasgow & formerly of Baltoney, Gortahork,

Predeceased by parents Frances and Hughie Gallagher, sisters Mary and Nora, brothers John and Seamus.

Survived by her husband Davie Tennyson, 11 brothers and sisters, daughters; Caroline, Eileen, Maureen, Bernadette, Rosaleen, son David, 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Her remains will return to the family home in Fanaboy, for burial in Gortahork at a date to be confirmed. Funeral arrangements later.

Val Phillips, Drogheda and Letterkenny

The unexpected death has occurred of Val (Edward Valentine) Phillips, late of Letterkenny and formerly of Boyle O’Reilly, Drogheda, County Louth.

Predeceased by his parents Mary Catherine and Peter, brother Brian and daughter-in-law Nicola, he is sadly missed by his daughters Mandy and Catherine, sons Mark and David and their mother Claire, sons-in-law Graham and Noel, daughters-in-law Bernie and Emma, sisters Mary, Hilda, Rosaleen, Bernie, Dolores and Doreen, brother Peter, his 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, May 2 at 11.30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church which can be viewed on www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie

Burial afterwards in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
