The death has occurred of Virginia Bowden, Seasons, Donegal Road, Killybegs. 

Predeceased by her husband Jim. Sadly missed by her sons Alan and Richard, daughters-in-law Amardeep and Maeve, grandchildren Eva and Priya, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at Mc Brearty’s Funeral Home, eircode F94R8WR, on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal on Thursday, March 16, at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Mass will be streamed live on www.mcnmedia.tv.

Vera Connolly, 8 O'Cleirigh Avenue, Milltown

The death has occurred of Vera Connolly, 8 O'Cleirigh Avenue, Milltown. 

She passed away peacefully in the Aras Mhic Shuibhne nursing home Mullanasole. Vera’s remains will arrive at St Mary’s Church, Killymard on Monday, March 13 for 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Killymard with burial immediately afterwards in Clar, graveyard.

Kathleen Bannigan, née Buchanan, 39 Woodlawn, Stranorlar

The peaceful death has occurred of Kathleen Bannigan (née Buchanan) 39 Woodlawn, Stranorlar, Donegal, F93 E3F1.
Predeceased by her husband Danny. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her son and daughters, Danny, Margaret, Joan and Catherine, daughter-in-law Anne, sons-in-law Bernard, Andy and Mike, 12 grandchildren, brothers Mosie, and Seamus, sisters Bridget and Monica, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Kathleen will repose at her late residence from 5pm on Sunday, March 12. Funeral leaving her late residence on Tuesday, March 14, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, at 11am. Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the Parish Webcam at https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Mary’s Meals, care of any family member.

Winnie McGee (née Rooney), Carricode, Pettigo

The death has occurred of Winnie McGee (née Rooney), Carricode, Pettigo. She passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. Predceased by her husband Willie, sadly missed by her daughter Mary and her sons Liam, John and all extended family.

Reposing at her late residence with removal on Tuesday to St. Mary’s Church, Pettigo for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterward in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamonn McLaughlin, 2 Foster Terrace, Moville

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Eamonn McLaughlin, 2 Foster Terrace, Moville.

His remains are reposing at his home. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 15 at 11am in St Pius X Church, Moville followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 5.15pm.

Eric Byrne, Kilcar

The unexpected death has occurred of Eric Byrne, Roxborough, Kilcar.

Eric is sadly missed by his parents Paul and Rose, brother Cian, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Sr Berchmans Doohan, Meath and Derryconnor

The death has occurred peacefully at St Michael's, Loreto Convent, Navan, in her 103rd year, of Sr Berchmans (Nora) Doohan, St Michael's, Loreto Convent, Navan, Meath and late of Derryconnor.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Brigid, brothers Hughie, Johnny, Charlie and Francis, sisters Sr Patrick and Sr Ignacio, she is very sadly missed and fondly remembered by her Loreto community and carers, nieces, nephews and their families in Scotland, Australia, USA and Donegal, in particular Moira Nì Ghallachoir and Paul - relatives, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.

Her remains are reposing in Fitzsimon's Funeral Home, Navan (C15WD68) with prayers at 4.30pm on Tuesday.

She will then repose at Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, from 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday with removal to St Eunan's Cathedral for prayers at 5.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am, followed by burial in New Leck Cemetery. The Funeral Mass may be viewed on the cathedral webcam.

Eddie Gallagher, Castlefin

The death has occurred peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Edward (Eddie) Gallagher, Ballybun, Castlefin.

Cherished son of the late Margaret and Andrew.

His remains will repose at Lynch's Funeral Home, 50, Castlefin Road, Castlederg BT81 7EE, on Monday from 1pm with removal at 4.15pm to St Mary's Church, Castlefin, via Ballybun, arriving at approximately 5pm to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am with interment afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Castlefin. The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam.

Ida Sweeney, Letterkenny

The death has occurred peacefully at home, of Ida Sweeney, Greenhill, Letterkenny, Donegal, F92 EKF2

Deeply regretted by her son Eamonn, daughters Bridie and Clare, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her home.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on the Church of the Irish Martyrs YouTube channel.

Mary Assumpta Gallagher, Burtonport 

The death has taken place in St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, of Mary Assumpta Gallagher, Arlands, Burtonport.

She is sadly missed by her husband Jimmy, daughters Marion and Fiona and son Edward (Patricia), grandchildren Ciara, Brianna, Seamus and Liam and her sisters Ann, Margaret and Bridget.

Her remains will repose at her home in Arlands following removal from Mc Glynn's Funeral Home, Dungloe, on Sunday at 6pm.

Funeral Mass in St Columba's Church, Burtonport, on Tuesday at 11am with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.

Family flowers only, with donations, in lieu, to Northwest Cancer Care c/o any family member.

Columba McDwyer, Leitrim and Glenties

The death has occurred peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family at Sligo University Hospital, of Colm (Columba) McDwyer of Cara Court, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim and formerly of Kilraine, Glenties

Predeceased by his parents Columba and Margaret, sisters Ena, Peg and infant Mary, brothers Alec and Dan, partner Albertine, he is sadly missed by his loving daughter Julie, son Andrew (Dublin) and their mother Pat (Derry), son-in-law Gabor Radoczy, Andrew’s partner Aoife, brothers Paddy (Glenties), James (Letterkenny), sisters Deirdre (Derry), Patricia (Nenagh) Annie (New York), Breege (Scotland), Paula (Gortahork, Donegal), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends in Donegal and Carrick-on-Shannon.

His remains will repose on Monday evening from 4pm to 8pm at The Heritage Centre, Chapel of Rest, Church Lane, Carrick-on-Shannon, N41 KP62.

Removal to St Mary’s church on Tuesday morning for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Paddy Mc Gill, Glenties

The death has occurred at University Hospital Galway of Paddy McGill, Meenahalla, Glenties.

Predeceased by his wife Nancy, brothers Josie and Jimmy, sisters Mary, Annie and Sarah, he is deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Bella (Glenties), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Paddy's remains are reposing at his late residence (F94NY8k). Family time from 11pm until 11am.

Removal from his residence on Monday morning at 10.40am going to St.Connell's Church, Glenties, for Requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on https://www.churchservices.tv/glenties
