Patricia Burdon, Milford

The peaceful death has taken place of Patricia Burdon, 37, Cooper’s Crest, Milford, dearly loved wife of Derek, and loving mother of Richard and Paula and grandmother of Jennifer.

Viewing of remains at Letterkenny Funeral Home, Port Road, Letterkenny F92 P407 on Saturday from 3pm to 4pm. House private please.

Private Cremation to take place in Cavan later. 

Raymond Dixon, Buncrana

The peaceful death has taken place of Raymond Dixon, Druminor, Buncrana.

His remains will repose at his late residence from 12pm on Saturday.

Removal from there on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm going to Christ Church, Buncrana for service at 2:30 pm with burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Patrick Doohan, Gortahork and Dublin

The death has taken place, in the Mater Hospital, Dublin, of Patrick (Paddy) Doohan of Hampstead Court, Glasnevin, Co Dublin and formerly of Curransport, Gortahork.

Deeply regretted and much loved by his sister Rita Lafferty, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at the home of his sister, Rita Lafferty, Kildarragh, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal, F92XT65.

Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork, on Saturday at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on https://www.mcnmedia.tv/Camera/christ-the-king-gortahork.

Laraine Long, Glenties and Monaghan

The death has occurred in the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny of Laraine Long (née Eakin), Mullantyboyle, Glenties, Donegal and Carrickmacross, Monaghan.

Laraine will be dearly missed by her husband Robert, daughter Saphran, son Oliver, her parents Fred and Jean, sister Irene (Michael), brother Edgar (Carol), nieces Amy, Jessica and Sorrel, nephews Kyle, Jamie, Jeffrey and Bobby, mother-in-law Ella, sister-in-law Elaine (Jimmy), the entire family circle and many friends.

Funeral service on Sunday, March 12 in Corvally Presbyterian Church, Co Monaghan, A81 FY50, at 2pm. Interment will take place afterwards in Carrickmaclim burial grounds.

Family flowers only. Donations, in memory of Laraine, if so desired, to Wood School Ardara (Donegal), (cheques made payable to same) c/o Conly Funeral Directors, Ballybay, Co Monaghan or any family member.

Rose Dennerley, England and Fanad

The peaceful death has occurred of Rose Dennerley Nee Friel, Cheshire, England and formerly of Ballure, Fanad.

Predeceased by her husband, Maurice, she is deeply regretted by her daughter, Margaret Rose, grandsons, Dominic and Thomas, sisters, Sally (Liverpool), Nessa (Kilmacrenan), Josephine (Fanad) and Shiela (Liverpool).

Sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Massmount on Saturday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Joe Rush, Castlefin

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Joe Rush, Ballybun, Castlefin.

Beloved son of the late Maggie-Mary and Johnny Rush and much loved brother of Eddie, Jackie, Nancy, Tony, Lily, Bridie, Margaret, Martin, Gerry and the late Josephine.

His remains are reposing at his home.

Funeral leaving his home on Saturday at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Castlefin at 11am, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed on the Castlefin Parish Facebook page. 

Donations in lieu of flowers please to the Donegal Hospice.

John Gallagher, London and Ardara

The death has occured of John Gallagher London and formerly Ardvalley, Ardara.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, his children Jason, Jessica, Joseph, James and grandchildren, brothers Tom, Jim and Joseph. Predeceased by his sister Eileen. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains will leave Shovlin's Funeral Home, Sandfield on Saturday afternoon, at 4pm, going to his brother Jim's house, Moagh, Ardara F94YW63 to repose overnight. There will be a one way system to the wake house with entry at Monaraghan, Donegal Road and exit at Woodhill.

Funeral from there on Sunday morning at 10.30am to the Church of The Holy Family, Ardara for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Simon Nolan, London and Donegal Town

The death occurred peacefully at his home in Shirley, Croydon, of Simon Nolan, formerly of Ballydevitt, Donegal Town.

Predeceased by his parents, Ann and Matthew, he is dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife, Philomena (née McGinty, Townawilly), and children, Isabella, Caoimhe, Matthew and Noelle.

Funeral arrangements are to be announced at a later date.

Feargus Ó Raghallaigh, Dunfanaghy and Dublin

The death has occurred of Feargus Ó Raghallaigh, Dunfanaghy, Donegal / Dublin. Died suddenly on February 14 at his home in Waikanae, New Zealand, aged 74.

Predeceased by his partner Trish and his parents Caitlín and Séamus, he will be forever loved and sadly missed by Miriam and their daughters Holly and Kate, his siblings Rónán, Éirnín, Dairine, Ultan, Feilim, Tomás and Siún, extended family and his many friends both in Ireland and New Zealand. 

The Funeral Service took place in Waikanae on Tuesday, March 7. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 12, 3pm, at Dublin Unitarian Church, St Stephen’s Green.
