Catherine Christina Weir, Ballindrait

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Catherine Christina Weir (nee Craig), The Park, Ballindrait, Lifford.

Predeceased by her late husband Harold and sister Pam, Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughters Vivienne and Claire, sons Johnny and Derek, son-in-law Rikard and daughter-in-law Paula, also her grandchildren Curtis, Beth, Kyle and Ava. Catherine will be remembered with love by her sister Harriet McDonald, brothers John and Roy Craig and also the extended Weir and Craig families. 

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. House strictly private please.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday at 1.30pm for 2pm funeral service in Ballindrait Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard. The funeral service can be viewed live on Craig’s Media Facebook page www.fb.me/rhv.northwest

Phyl Geraghty, Ballyshannon

The peaceful death has occurred of Philomena (Phyl) Geraghty (née Tunney), Tullymore, Ballyshannon.

Phyl, beloved wife of the late Pat Geraghty and predeceased by her grandchildren James, Patrick and Méabh, will be deeply missed by her sister Bridie Reynolds, her children Michael, Patsy, Loretta, Gerry, Tommy, Bridie and Mena, grandchildren Michael and wife Luli, Ryan, Gerard, Deborah, Eryn, Cealán, Tom, Jack, Lilia, Leona, Cara, Mary, Órla and great-granddaughter Lana, daughters-in-law Carmel and Margaret, sons-in-law Charlie, Joe and Vijay, nephews Michael, Paul and families, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her family home from 4pm to 9pm on Thursday and Friday. There will be a one way system in operation for the wake, entry via Legaltan on the Rossnowlagh Road L7675 and exit via Tullyhorkey on to the Donegal Road. House private on morning of funeral, please.

Removal on Saturday morning to St.Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon, for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery. Phyl's funeral Mass can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/stpatricksballyshannon

Kathleen Carroll, Dublin and Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Kathleen (Catherine) Carroll (née Doherty), Foxrock, Castleknock, Churchtown, Dublin and formerly of Carndonagh.

Kathleen (Catherine), beloved wife of the late William (Bill) and dear mother of Deirdre, Ultan, Declan and Grainne and sister of the late Sally, Eileen, Mary-Jo and John. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons, son-in-law David, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Her remains are reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Church Avenue, Blanchardstown on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm.

Removal to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Saturday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Castleknock Churchyard.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Margaret Rose Sheridan, Rathmullan

The death has occurred peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Margaret Rose Sheridan, Glencross, Rathmullan.

Deeply regretted by her sisters Vera Mc Bride (Golan), Susan Mc Conway (USA), Grace Mc Dermott (USA) and Bridie Vesey (USA), nephew William Flood, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her sisters Annie, Mary and Maud, brothers Willie, Charlie, Joseph, Tony and Paddy.

Her remains will repose at her home from 6pm on Thursday.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Catherine’s Church, Oughterlin, with burial afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery.

Martin Greene, Bunbeg, Brisbane and Bray

The death has occurred of Martin Greene of Bunbeg and formerly of Brisbane, Australia and Bray, County Wicklow.

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his loving partner Caroline and his family Ciara-Leigh, Tiarnán and Elizabeth, also by his brothers and sisters and his extended family and friends.

Funeral Service on Saturday at 10am in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Mater Foundation. Toni Callinan, Wicklow and Inver

The death has occurred of Toni (Antoinette) Callinan (née Griffin) of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Ardaghey, Inver.

Devoted and loving mother of Evie and Isabelle; she will be sadly missed by her daughters and their father Mike, sisters Mary (Cork) and Carol (Stillorgan), brothers John (Sligo) and Martin (Navan), brothers and sisters-in-law Mike, Michele, Tony and Carmel, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Kathleen and Eamonn Griffin.

Her remains will repose at Colliers Funeral Home, old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Thursday from 4pm to 6pm.

Funeral Service on Friday at 2pm in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray, followed by private cremation.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society. 

Toni’s Month’s Mind will take place on Saturday, March 25 at 2pm, in St Naul’s Church, Ardaghey, followed by the burial of her ashes in the local cemetery.

John Charles Duffy, Drumkeen and Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of John Charles Duffy, Augheygault, Drumkeen F93 DNR2 and formerly from Lower Main Street, Letterkenny.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Maureen, daughters Louise, Susan McCarthy (Glen, Carrigart), Aileen, and Claire Vance, sons Ciarán, Charles, Pascal (Chicago) and Pauric, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters Mary McCoy (London) and Annette Duffy (Letterkenny), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. John Charles is predeceased by his granddaughter Gemma Grace (Philadelphia) and his brother James (Letterkenny).

John Charles’ remains will be reposing at his late residence on Thursday from 2pm until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Friday at 11.15am going to St Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Society of the St Vincent de Paul c/o any family member.

Anne Gallagher, Derrybeg

The sudden death has taken place, in Letterkenny University Hospital, of Anne (Bheag) Gallagher of Glassagh, Derrybeg.

Predeceased by her parents Micí and Catherine. sister-in-law Margaret and nephew Sean Noel, she is sadly missed by her sister Sandra (McGivney); brothers John and Brian; in-laws Oliver, Mary and Sinead; nephews Michael, John and Mick, niece Kelly Marie and extended family and many friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence with Rosary at 8pm. House private after Rosary until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Rocco McGinley, Buncrana 

The death has occurred of Rocco McGinley, 1 Tirmacool Rd, Buncrana.

Beloved Son of Yvonne and Wade McGinley loving Brother of Warren, Jordan, Dean, Cooper, Winter Lily, Arya and Bodhi Dear Grandson of Carl and Anna McGinley and Mary Hegarty and the late Desmond Hegarty.

HIs remains are reposing at his home. Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Removal from there on Friday at 9.15am going to St Mary's Oratory for 10am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Cockhill Cemetery.

Family flowers only donations if desired to Letterkenny University Hospital Pediatric Ward. 

Danielle Longmore, Wicklow and Donegal

Danielle Longmore (née Honan) passed away peacefully on February 8, 2023, after bravely fighting cancer for 13 months, while on her last adventure to Palermo, Sicily.

Danielle fought that fight with the love and support of her best friend and soulmate Ian, her fearless daughters Chloe, Megan and Mia, her cherished son Adam and of course, Buddy.

She is missed by her Mam and Dad, Clare and Frank Honan, of Falcarragh where Danielle and the family spent many happy days; her sisters Carla (Barry and Alex Sheehan), Rachel (Tom Franiuk), Nuala and her son Dylan, Katie and all her aunts and uncles and by her mother and father-in-law Lillian and Martin and the extended Longmore family, and her wide circle of friends.

Danielle’s life was filled with adventures and fun filled moments. However in the last 13 months despite the fear in her heart there was a determination to make as many happy memories for all those around her.

Danielle's remains will repose at the family home (A63 X651) from 1pm until 8pm on Thursday and Friday. House private thereafter.

Removal on Saturday at 1.20pm to St Anthony’s Church, Kilcoole, walking from the credit union, arriving for a funeral service at 2pm after which Danielle will be laid to rest in Kilquade New Cemetery.

In keeping with Danielle’s wishes those attending are requested to wear bright colours. The funeral service will be streamed. People attending the family home (A63 X651) at Oaklawn View are requested to park at the Newcastle Community Centre.

Simon Nolan, London and Donegal Town

The death has occurred peacefully at his home in Shirley, Croydon, of Simon Nolan, formerly of Ballydevitt, Donegal Town.

Predeceased by his parents, Ann and Matthew, he is dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife, Philomena (née McGinty, Townawilly), children, Isabella, Caoimhe, Matthew and Noelle. 

Funeral arrangements to be announced at a later date.
