Employability North West was established in 2001 and has offices throughout Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim. They provide supported employment service to people with disabilities, people with varying impairments, health conditions and people who have mental ill health to find and maintain competitive paid employment.
The proprietor of Kelly’s Centra in Letterkenny, Máirtín Kelly, said the benefits of working with
Employability North West are very rewarding: “Firstly there is a financial benefit but there is also a benefit of working and having a diverse workforce where you are employing people with disabilities that bring a different level, a different layer, to our workforce.
“It also helps us frame an approach going forward of working with people with disabilities. It is a very
strong part of our business being part of the community and that just reinforces that for us.”
He said that he would highly recommend Employability North West to any employer.
“It’s been very, very good, mutually beneficial, it gives a good feel and ethos to the management, to the people working here and indeed to the community,” he said.
Roisin McCaughan started working in Kelly’s Diner recently and says she loves it. A guest to the popular diner, Charlie Boyle, was so delighted with Roisin’s service and smile that he took to social media and said: “She is bubbly, friendly and efficient and is a great asset to the team and is valued by
management.”
Charlie said her confidence is growing by the day adding that it is important customers point out good
service and good management who give staff the support and encouragement to develop.

In 2022, Kelly’s Diner won the Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion award. Manager, Martin Rogers said the team were delighted to have won the award and that they enjoy being inclusive and diverse in their workforce.
