International pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor has swapped the bright lights of London for the Wild Atlantic Way this week, after she was spotted filming in a pub in south Kerry.

The 46-year-old singer, best known for her 2001 hit Murder on the Dancefloor which recently enjoyed revival thanks to the film Saltburn starring Barry Keoghan, was in Cahersiveen on Monday where she spent the day shooting scenes for a new music video.

Locals looked on as Ellis-Bextor and her crew took over "Mike Murt's Bar" on New Market Street, adding a touch of showbiz glamour to the seaside town.
