Irish actors turn heads on the red carpet at star-studded Met Gala Ball

Just two Irish stars appeared on the red carpet for Sunday night's Met Gala, but needless to say, both Andrew Scott and Barry Keoghan impressed many with their stunning outfits for one of the biggest nights in fashion.

The theme for the 2025 Meta Gala was 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' which celebrated the concept of black dandyism and its impact on contemporary fashion. Interestingly, it was the first year to focus on men's fashion in over twenty years.

As always, Vogue Editor Anna Wintour handpicked a small group of celebrities to serve as co-chairs and launch the museum's exhibition. This year, it was Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, singer Pharrell Williams and Oscar-nominated performer Colman Domingo who joined Wintour.

Only certain celebrities are invited to the event by Wintour as well, and this year it was actors Andrew Scott and Barry Keoghan flying the Irish flag on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Barry Keoghan wore a black Valentino suit with some added jewels on the sleeves and collars. Many have noticed his hairdo was very Beetles-esque which may be part of his preparations for his future role as Ringo Starr in the upcoming biopic about the iconic band alongside fellow Irishman Paul Mescal.

Andrew Scott wore a custom-made Giuliva Heritage suit. The three-piece suit had plenty of colour and definitely stuck to the theme of fine tailoring for this year's event.
