WATCH: Memorable moments from Ryan Tubridy's Late Late Toy Shows as Patrick Kielty takes over

The Late Late Toy Show is back this Friday night but with a new face at the helm.

Whether it's a long standing tradition in your house to gather round the telly to watch it every year, or you watch it solely for the never-ending memes that clog up your social media, you can't deny Christmas in Ireland just isn't the same without it.

From Gaybo to Pat Kenny, and now Tubs to Patrick Kielty, the festive torch has been passed yet again for the new presenter to suit up (in a Christmas jumper that is) and show up for all the excited faces in the audience and at home.

Before we jump into our cosy pj's and grab our popcorn for this Friday nnight's show, let's take a look back at the sis of the most heart-warming, and hilarious moments from Ryan Tubridy's tenure at our beloved institution.

6. Singing The Greatest Showman

Tubs impressed us all with his singing four years ago when he pulled out all the stops as P.T. Barnum from the popular musical The Greatest show.

Arguably one of the best openings of the Toy Show with fantastic choreography and production values.

5. Aimee and Ed Sheeran

Back in 2014, Aimee Keogh couldn't believe her eyes when superstar Ed Sheeran surprised her on stage, just as she was singing one of his songs.

The two went on to sing a song together and Sheeran even gave gifts to Aimee and Ryan. What a class act!

4. Adam King and his virtual hug

Adam King stole the nations heart back in 2021 when he appeared on the show with his virtual hug.

In one of the most memorable Toy Shows not long after the pandemic, 5-year old Adam shared his hug with Ryan and his favourite hospital porter John Doyle who surprised him on stage.

3. Ryan's slip of the tongue

In the same year, Tubridy may, or may not, have said the f word before pouring himself a big glass of Fanta.

The look at the camera would suggest it was a slip of the tongue, thankfully the child he was with didn't notice.

2. Saoirse Ruane

In 2020, 8-year old Saoirse Ruane quickly became one of the most memorable children to appear on the Toy Show.

Following a diagnoses of a tumour in her leg, which then had to be amputated, Saoirse was praised for her bravery.

1. JohnJoe Brennan

8-year old JohnJoe Brennan appeared on the Toy Show way back in 2009 and wowed viewers with his intelligence and articulation.

His love of clocks and ambition to become a Horologist cemented him into the Hall of Fame of Toy Show guests.

The Late Late Toy Show kicks off this Friday night, November 24, at 9.35pm.
