The Croke Park area on Sunday will be damp, drizzly and overcast for the All-Ireland hurling final according to Met Eireann.

It will be a wet start to the weekend, but Cork and Clare fans can expect dry conditions tomorrow on the road to Croke Park for their All-Ireland hurling final clash.

Loyal and fairweather fans can expect some not-so-fair weather in Croke Park itself tomorrow however, as showers and wind are expected in the capital on Sunday.

Rain looks set to become widespread today, falling heavy at times in the west and northwest with a chance of spot flooding.

Met Éireann forecasts that sunny spells and isolated showers will move into the west and southwest this morning and slowly spread across the country this afternoon before clearing in eastern areas by evening.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees are expected, ahead of another warm day tomorrow when light patchy rain will emerge through a largely dull and dry start in the west and southwest.

A mainly dry start is expected for tomorrow, with rain and drizzle in the west and southwest spreading across the rest of the country in the afternoon and evening.

In Dublin, and around Croke Park, Met Éireann have predicted "a dull day", with patchy light rain and drizzle continuing at times through the day. Temperatures will hit between 18 and 19 degrees with some light winds.

Cork and Clare fans are encouraged to bring raincoats along with the flags and banners tomorrow.
