National: Incorrect 'use by' date on turkey product sparks warning

Turkey sold by leading retailer recalled for five month out of date misprint
A packet of sliced turkey sold by a popular Irish food chain has been recalled due to a misprint.
Lidl's Deluxe range of Irish carved peppered turkey breast has been recalled by the Food Safety Authority Ireland (FSAI) due to a wrong use-by-date.
The turkey, which was dated 25 Jun (June) 2024 rather than 25 Jan (January) 2024 has sparked a warning.
The retailer is to remove the affected batch from sale and consumers are being advised not to purchase/eat the implicated batch.
Stores have also been directed to display recall notices in-store.
