Early morning chaos for commuters caused by crashes on M50 with trains also running late

Irish Rail confirmed a signal issue has delayed some intercity services
Road and rail commuters are facing delays this morning, with drivers on the M50 held up due to a number of crashes in Dublin.
Irish Rail also confirmed delays of up to 20 minutes can be expected for Cork/Heuston and Limerick/Heuston services due to a signalling issue at Dundrum.
A collision occurred on the M1/M50 southbound between the M1/M50 roundabout just before 8.30am and the Dublin Tunnel blocking the right and middle lanes.
Traffic was said to be back at Junction 2 Dublin Airport and moving very slowly.
A second collision was also reported around the same time on the M2/N2 between Junction 2 St. Margaret’s and Junction 1 - M50/N2 (Southbound direction).
This occurred just before the M50, blocking the middle lane and the hard shoulder is currently blocked.
There were also a number of crashes on the M50 earlier this morning, which has since been cleared.
