Dublin Airport prepares to welcome one of the world's largest aircrafts

History will be made as the plane carries a political figure, making a State visit to Ireland
One of the largest ever commercial aircrafts will touch down in one Irish airport this Tuesday.
Described as “a little bit of history”, Dublin Airport will welcome a Boeing 747-8, the largest ever commercial plane to arrive at the airport.
The plane, carrying Chinese Premier Li Qiang, will arrive shortly after 7pm this Tuesday evening. Li Qiang is a politician in China and is making a State visit for two days to Ireland.
Despite having made history in Dublin Airport previously with other large aircrafts, such as the military Lockheed C-5 Galaxy, the 747-8 Chinese plane trumps all other aircrafts of its type to land in Dublin. The Boeing 747-8 has a wingspan of 68m and is 76m long.
Motorists are advised of possible traffic delays around the airport, due to a possible gathering of plane spotters keen to catch a glimpse of the giant aircraft making its landing.
