Competition and Consumer Protection Commission recall popular Amazon product

THE COMPETITION and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) have recalled a popular Amazon product.

High Powered Laser Pointers sold on Amazon have been recalled as it presents a risk of injuries and damage to sight as the laser contains an excessively strong beam, which is not suitable for consumer use, if the beam were pointed in the consumers eye there may be temporary or permanent damage.

The brand, model number, batch number and barcode are unknown.

The product was sold online through Amazon. 

There are approximately 424 affected products in the Republic of  Ireland with the following Amazon Standard Identification Number:

B09WMHRDP5 - 192 units sold in Ireland 

B0BDRSY4ZB - 227 units sold in Ireland 

B0BGGLLDGK - 5 units sold in Ireland
