The freebie is a nod to Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announcing his resignation from the role
As Leo prepares to step down as the country’s leader, Krispy Kreme is taking the opportunity to treat him and other Leos across Ireland to a free donut.
Those with the name Leo, Lenard, Léonardo, Leonore, or Leonie can go to their local Krispy Kreme shop now and pick up a free Original Glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut, for one day only.
If your name is Leo visit any Krispy Kreme shop on Friday, March 22, with a valid ID to redeem the offer.
The light-hearted promotion marks the shock resignation of the Taoiseach on Wednesday, March 22. Minister Simon Harris is expected to succeed Mr Varadkar's role in both Fine Gael and as Taoiseach.
