FSAI warning issued as shoppers told not to drink affected bottles

An urgent warning has been issued to Irish shoppers after a batch of Irish-made wine was pulled from shelves due to safety fears.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has recalled Vale View Schuyler Irish Grown Red Wine 2023, sold in 750ml bottles, after a problem was discovered during checks.

The affected batch, code 2023Sch01, is being withdrawn from sale across Ireland, and customers are being urged to check their bottles and avoid drinking the wine.

The wine, produced in Ireland, has been distributed nationwide.
