Susan Mc Cole, Bunbeg

The death has taken place at Dungloe Community Hospital of Susan Mc Cole, Middle Dore, Bunbeg.

Predeceased by her husband Owen Mc Cole, parents; Bridget & Joe Antoin Gallagher, sisters; Mary Gallagher & Nóra Plunkett and brothers; Paddy and Anthony Gallagher.

Sadly missed by her sister Kathleen, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) on Thursday, September 12 from 3pm with rosary at 8pm and on Friday from 1pm to 6.30pm. Removal afterwards to St. Mary's Church Derrybeg for 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, September 14, at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Derrybeg, interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.

John R Gallagher, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of John R Gallagher in Florida, USA, on May 2, 2024. Husband of the late Ellen (née Hegarty), brother-in-law of Andy and Patricia Hegarty, Ardaghey.

Funeral mass will take place in the Church of the Sacred Heart Mountcharles, on Saturday,  September 14 at 10am, with interment of ashes afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Maryann Mc Creadie, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Maryann McCreadie (née Cunningham), Crossroads, Dunkineely, at Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs.

Predeceased by her husband John, her brothers James, Andy, Willie and Peter, her parents James & Lizzie.

Sadly missed by her brother Francis (Dunkineely), her relatives and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (F94 X02N) today, Thursday, September 12 from 5pm until 9pm.

Removal from there on Friday, September 13 going to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coole, Cranford for funeral Mass at 3.30pm, with interment afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Meehan, Donegal Town

The peaceful death has occurred of Elizabeth (Lizzie) Meehan, Meenacally, Donegal Town (F94 E702). She passed away serenely at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John Joe and son Patrick.

Sadly missed by her sons John (Kate), Gerard (Martina),Seamus (Seanna), Declan (Anne), Patsy, Dermot (Jen) and daughters Marie (Seamus), Bried, Christine (Gerry), Noreen (Paul), grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains are  reposing at the family residence on Wednesday, September 11 from 2pm and all day on Thursday, September 12. Rosary at 9pm each evening.

Removal from there on Friday morning, September 13 at 11.30am going to St Mary’s Church, Killymard (F94 EA22) for funeral mass at 12 noon, with interment afterwards in the local cemetery.

Kathleen Duffy, Glasgow and Clonmany

The death has occurred in Glasgow, Scotland of Kathleen Duffy.

Predeceased by her parents Molly and John and her sister AnneMarie.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Ann, sons John (AnneMarie), Raymond (Anna), deeply regretted by her brother Danny(Maggie), sisters Margaret (Tommy), Bridget (Eddie) and grandchildren Matthew, Ciara, Jacklyn, Breanna, Pearse, Conall, Sarah Marie, Cillian, Goddaughter Sinead and the wider family circle.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing daughter, sons, daughter’s in law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, sister in law brothers in law and the family circle.

Funeral mass will take place on Thursday, September 12 at 10am in the Blessed John Duns Scotus Ballater Street, Glasgow followed by removal to St Michael’s Church, Urris, Clonmany to arrive at approximately 9pm to repose overnight.

Paul Breslin, Ardara

The death has occurred of Paul Breslin, St Shanaghan House, Ardara. Known locally as Paul Paul, he is sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Pre-deceased by his sisters Ellen Cassidy, Kathleen McIntyre, Mary Davis, brothers Daniel Breslin, Peter Breslin and Thomas Paul Breslin.

His remains will repose at St Shanaghan House today, Wednesday, September 11 from 2pm to 9pm and tomorrow, Thursday, September 12 from 2pm until 6.30pm with removal to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara for 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral on Friday, September 13 at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sheila Ferry, Rathmullan and Letterkenny

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Sheila Ferry, 82 Sylvan Park, Letterkenny and formerly Iniskill, Rathmullan.

Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, F92 XE35 on Wednesday, September 11 from 5pm until 7pm, when those who wish may pay their respects.

Removal at 7pm to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Gortlee, Letterkenny to repose overnight.

Anne Doherty, Clonmany

The peaceful death has occurred at her home of Anne Doherty, Ardagh, Ballyliffin, Clonmany, F93VAD9.

Beloved wife of Cornelius, much loved mother of Michael (Susanne) Agnes (Charlie) George (Marie) and Brigid (Adrian).

Deeply regretted by her brother Tom and will be sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren and her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains are reposing at her home. Funeral from there on Thursday morning at 10.20am going to St Mary’s Church Clonmany for requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the new cemetery. Family time please from 10pm till 11am.

The death has occurred of Eileen Breslin, Drumbarron Ardara.

Sadly missed by her loving family, children Hugh (Margret), Mary (Brendan), Thady (Catherine), Martha (Kevin), Patrick (Helen), John (Tina), Niall (Anne), Ellen Jane (Barry), and all her grandchildren, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Teague. Remains reposing at McCabe’s Funeral Home Ardara (F94 VCK1) on Tuesday, September 10 from 3pm to 9pm and on Wednesday, September 11 from 2pm, followed by removal to The Church of the Holy Family Ardara for 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 12 at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Paul Brannigan, Ramelton

The peaceful death has taken place in London of Paul Brannigan,Glenard, Ramelton.

Sadly missed by his mother Pauline, sister Michele (Dolph), brothers Martin (Caroline), and Peter (Catherine),and by his nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his father Michael.

His remains will be received into St Mary’s Church, Ramelton on Wednesday at 5pm to repose overnight. Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Thursday morning followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael Browne, Carrigans

The peaceful death has occurred, surrounded by his loving family in Letterkenny University Hospital of Michael Browne, An Grianan House, Dunmore, Carrigans, Co Donegal, F93 NF8F.

Michael will be lovingly missed by his wife Kathleen, son Mike (Patricia), daughters Amanda (Niall) and Dana, grandchildren Ryan, Anthony, Ciara, Sinead, Roisin, Micheal, Erin, Enya, Eoghan and Darragh, his brothers and sisters Vally, Jen, Lynn, Ken and June nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Michael was predeceased by his father and mother Robert and Elizabeth and his brothers and sister Robbie, Jackie, Noel, Joe, Minty, Dom, Stephen, Oliver and Eugene, RIP.

Removal from Kelly’s Funeral Home, Oakfield, Raphoe at 4pm on Tuesday, September 10 going to his late residence, An Grianan House, Dunmore, Carrigans to repose for wake till 11pm, with wake tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11 from 12noon to 11pm.

Funeral Cortege will be leaving An Grianan House, Dunmore, Carrigans at 10.30am on Thursday, September 12 going to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Georgina Doherty, Dublin and Bruckless

The death has occurred of Georgina Doherty (née Long) Deansgrange, Dublin and Bruckless. She passed away peacefully in her 95th year, in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff of Dargle Valley Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Jack, loving mother of Janet, Derek and the late Robert, mother-in-law of Patrick and Laura and adored Didi of Jonathan, Julian, Samuel, Pippa-Jordan, Kia, Aisling, Alba and Dara; she will be sadly missed by all her family, relatives and friends.

Service of Thanksgiving on Friday, September 13, at 11am in Dundrum Methodist Church, D16 WK27 followed by interment in Shanganagh Cemetery. Donations, if desired, to Christian Aid Ireland.
